“Best burger that I've had in Mississippi. The fries are good, but a little on the soggy side, the Banana Pudding is average. My wife loved her cheese steak and the fried pickles.

Steak 'n Shake Hamburger • $
University of Mississippi, 762 All American Drive, Oxford

“The last time my wife and I visited the University of Mississippi campus in Oxford, Mississippi, there wasn't a Steak 'n Shake restaurant at 762 All-American Drive, in the shadow of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. As we planned our trip to Oxford this year, I couldn't wait to have lunch at what I imagined was a thriving business on campus, especially on game day when thousands of Ole Miss students and alumni and fans partied at the nearby Grove and attended the Saturday afternoon football game. Alas, much to our disappointment, the Steak 'n Shake is temporarily closed. Because of COVID, I assume. I can only imagine how much revenue the restaurant is losing, especially when Ole Miss is in session and the Rebels are hosting Alabama or Mississippi State or Georgia. It's like closing an Irish pub on St. Patrick's Day in Chicago. I still recall how popular a Steak 'n Shake was when I attended the University of Illinois from 1958 to 1962, a go-to destination after class, on weekends and during final exam week. I'm sure Ole Miss students miss it, tool“

“Tasty Food and Fun Experience. Mynvisit was a delightful experience filled with tasty food and a fun, nostalgic atmosphere. Sonic Drive-In offers a unique dining experience that combines convenience with a touch of retro charm.

One of the standout features of Sonic Drive-In is the convenience of ordering from your car. The drive-in concept is both fun and practical, allowing you to place your order through the intercom and have it delivered right to your vehicle. This is particularly convenient for a quick meal on the go or a casual family outing. The carhops at this location were friendly and efficient, ensuring that our order was taken promptly and delivered with a smile.

The menu at Sonic Drive-In is extensive, offering a wide variety of options to suit different tastes. From classic burgers and hot dogs to delicious shakes and slushes, there’s something for everyone. I tried the Sonic Cheeseburger and Chili Cheese Tots, both of which were delicious. The burger was juicy and flavorful, with fresh toppings and a soft bun, while the tots were crispy and perfectly seasoned.

One of the highlights of Sonic Drive-In is their drink selection. The range of customizable drinks, including the famous Sonic slushes, is impressive. I opted for a cherry limeade, which was refreshing and perfectly balanced in flavor. The ability to mix and match different drink flavors is a fun and unique feature that adds to the overall experience.

The ambiance at Sonic Drive-In is casual and nostalgic, reminiscent of a classic American drive-in. The outdoor seating area is clean and well-maintained, providing a nice option for those who prefer to eat outside. The location is also conveniently situated, making it an easy stop for a quick meal.

While my overall experience was positive, there is some room for improvement. During peak hours, the service can be a bit slow, and it took a little longer than expected for our order to arrive. Additionally, the food quality, while generally good, can sometimes be inconsistent. Ensuring a more consistent quality across all menu items would enhance the overall dining experience.

In summary, it offers a fun and convenient dining experience with a wide variety of tasty menu options. The friendly service, extensive drink selection, and nostalgic atmosphere make it a great choice for a casual meal. With a few improvements in service speed and consistency, it could easily be a five-star experience.“

“The service is great, and as always the food is awesome, the food also seems to be made after I order it and is fresh and hot, unlike McDonald's, Burger King and a few other fast food places, this makes Sonic my place to go to.I wish Sonic would start selling 5, 10, 20, 30 and 40 peice chicken nuggets with sweet & sour, honey mustard, BBQ, Ranch, and the other sauces that McDonald's and burger king offer.I also wish that Sonic would offer 24 hour services as well like McDonald's does to give us a better choice for fast food or stay open until 2 am instead of closing at 9 pm.Since we're in a major ivy league college town that has around 2 thousand college students a year if not more then Sonic is losing out on those nights where we need a better option to get something to eat and all the money that should be going to Sonic and instead is going to McDonald's. I would rather have Sonic over Burger King any time.“

“Loves the wings and fries. Both times ordered have been spot on. Only thing I have to say is I don't know the spice level from the menu. I need to know. I want spicy but not the hottest. I had to add Sara hammy last visit, it wasn't spicy enough and the menu didn't reflect. Also homemade ranch would knock them out of this world!“
