“I came to support a group of students earlier this week to celebrate winning king and queen of the school. First of all let me say the staff was very rude to the administration staff. Even though reservations were made and confirmed and they knew in advance that the students were coming they refused to seat our party and denied the reservations ever being made even after being shown the email messages. The female manager asked for us to wait outside of the restaurant being that it was about 42 degrees that day until the limousine arrived to pick the students back up . The children were dressed in their Sunday best with white dresses and the young boys were in tuxedos and were looking forward to having their luncheon that was awarded to them for their hard work at school. I strongly believe that if the students were not all African American and staff as well they would have treated us differently. I will never ever support nor spend money with Majestic Grill again. I was hurt the way they treated these students who worked oh so hard and were looking forward to what was supposed to be a special day to remember.“

“I never tried Crumbl because of the videos by black people on social media saying that they were nasty.

But I did today.

I tried the weekly lineup and I fear everyone who said Crumbl was nasty; all lied because crumbl is indeed SO GOOD.

These were some of the BEST cookies I have had in my life!!!! They were still warm and soft. The edges were crispy and I loved every one of them 🥹 They tasted very homemade and fresh.

I now want to become a Crumbl cookie…. 🥺🫶🏾🤌🏾🍪

My favorites this week were the CINNAMON ROLL COOKIE, then the BROWNIE BATTER COOKIE, the COOKIE & CREAM and the STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE COOKIE 🍰

Everything was grilled/cooked beautifully with a perfect amount of spice and flavor. The Kibbeh was beyond delicious! Our server was Hamza and he was very helpful and thoughtful, and we really appreciated his attentive - but not hovering - service! We will definitely be back (soon)!“

“Everything about this place is wonderful. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff. Jordan, Ashley, and Haley were wonderful. It’s nice and clean and comfortable. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space and activities.

But whoever came up with the recipe for the jalepeno brew…. They deserve all the good things in life. This is the best beer I have ever had. It’s the best jalepeno flavored drink I’ve ever had, and I am completely obsessed.

“The beers were great. We did a tasting flight with a wide variety of styles. Every beer was solid. The lunch special was a great deal. We grabbed dinner here the other night and it was magnificent! THE Mike Garibaldi himself greeted us at the door and introduced us into the restaurant making some recommendations. While we had never been to this location, we’ve been going to Garibaldi’s for many decades.

We started with the pizza bread and you have to know that the bread was probably the softest I’ve ever eaten. I had the spaghetti dinner with meat sauce and Italian spinach on the side. The food was delicious! Hot and flavorful. We also got a cheese pizza that was good as well.

It was great being at a local restaurant owned and managed by one of the longstanding families in the city.“

“Babalu Overton is pretty freaking good. I like the decor and the patio seating. I enjoyed a Cuban sandwich and a trio dip starter. The server, Tristan, was freaking great. He was attentive without hovering and I definitely appreciate that.“

We came back Sunday for burlesque bingo, also amazing. Made new friends for life. If you are in Memphis for the last Saturday of the month, this is something you need to see. Everyone is accepting and open. It’s a safe place. And the performance is like nothing to have seen before.“
