Last night we brought two out of town guests who live near the coast and have seafood regularly in their home towns. Because of our guests, we were disappointed that the new menu featured too many seafood items. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed our dinner, but some of us didn't want seafood. All of the apps were seafood except one, and most were shellfish, which we couldn't eat due to an allergy. We also felt like the new entrees didn't include enough non seafood options, and no one wants beef ragout when it's 90 degrees outside. PS Jan always does a great job!”

“I came to support a group of students earlier this week to celebrate winning king and queen of the school. First of all let me say the staff was very rude to the administration staff. Even though reservations were made and confirmed and they knew in advance that the students were coming they refused to seat our party and denied the reservations ever being made even after being shown the email messages. The female manager asked for us to wait outside of the restaurant being that it was about 42 degrees that day until the limousine arrived to pick the students back up . The children were dressed in their Sunday best with white dresses and the young boys were in tuxedos and were looking forward to having their luncheon that was awarded to them for their hard work at school. I strongly believe that if the students were not all African American and staff as well they would have treated us differently. I will never ever support nor spend money with Majestic Grill again. I was hurt the way they treated these students who worked oh so hard and were looking forward to what was supposed to be a special day to remember.”

“I don't normally do such a review for fine dining but my wife and I attended a special event where Duckhorn Wines and Chef Gentry at the Lobbyist put on a very unique feast. I'm not a wine expert by any means but the Duckhorn wines selected fit the menu perfectly with a 4 course meal that included octopus and fresh cabbage to start, and perfectly prepared beef cheek for the main. The Lobbyist source their food supplies from local farms which it shows both in appearance and taste. The event was sponsored by Buster's Liquor, an icon in Memphis for the selection and price. The seating was an open table making it a fun evening where we met and made new friends. Check them out for a special date with your better half.”

We were there last weekend (10/12/24) and returned this weekend (10/18/24) to enjoy another version of their Wagyu Burgers and Duckhorn Wines. Both weekends, we enjoyed their SUPERB Fried Calamari with a glass of Prisoner Red Blend and a glass of Knights Bridge Chardonnay before our burgers.

“Came late night around 330 to get food and VICTORIA (A.A. female with really bad red weave) decided to get rude, yell and cuss at me as well as slam the togo window in my face, saying "I said what I said" and walked away talking trash. The younger cook, didn't catch his name, came to the window and although frustrated calmly took my order and began cooking it. The younger girl that was there with Victoria was very polite and trying her best to get her job done efficiently. The cook didn't hesitate to cook my order and EVERYTHING was made correctly! Very enjoyable meal! That cook DEFINITELY needs a raise! When I paid for my order ($55 and change, paid $80) I told the cook that the remainder of the change was for him. I really appreciated the fact he took care of the customer no matter the reaction from a waitress that didn't want to work. When I was talking to him VICTORIA was at the dish pit yelling and talking trash while just repeating "Blah blah blah" with her nasty bumpy tongue hanging out of her mouth of yellow teeth calling me out of my name. I have been in the food industry for over 18 years and i would NEVER treat anyone or any customer like Victoria did. I will be speaking to management and corporate about my experience there tonight and I will be pursuing getting VICTORIA FIRED. That was just completely unacceptable! Major kudos to the cook and the other server though, regardless of how tired, frustrated or overwhelmed they were, they kept cool and made sure everything got handled.”

“For the hungry and want it fast crowd this place will do the job. Mostly Chinese dishes with some American thrown in. Most of their business is take out but they have seating for 32. We showed up about 1 ish and we were the only ones eating in but saw a steady stream of phone in orders being picked up. My partner got the chicken fried rice and I agreed with her it should have had more chicken in it. I selected the steak and shrimp sub and the meat was ground up, not hamburger but certainly not sirloin. Few shrimp in it. On the edge of Tiger Town for what it is, it’s not bad.

“Our high tea for my daughter's 5th birthday was amazing! We had the best service from both the host and our server Courtney! They are very good about accommodating allergies, the food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is quiet and makes our girls feel like true princesses. The dessert ducky my daughter received for her birthday was THE highlight! She asks to go back every day now.

Just make sure you read the receipt right as 20% gratuity is already included. I didn't realize that as it didn't say what the 20% was for on the receipt, but the manager was very helpful on the phone to get that mistake reversed!
My favorite was the scone (the second course) and the Matcha tea.

Dietary restrictions: They were very accommodating of our dietary restrictions- one person was able to have gluten free and the other had pregnancy-safe (no cold cut / raw) items! Highly recommend.

Kid-friendliness: Our 5 and 7 year old girls had a blast! They have a kids option for the high tea and it was excellent!”

I like the seating areas for inside and outside seating. The mural of Memphis is fun and showcases cool spots. I can’t recommend this place more. It’s a must go. Also if you are not into BBQ only try out Aldos Pizza “The Memphis” it has Central’s pulled pork on top. It’s across the street from the Civil Rights Museum.”

“Who doesn't love crumble cookie? This was only my second time visiting this location and it was much quicker in and out than my first visit. Which I really appreciated. They're very popular so you have to be careful of the times you go. I appreciate that they're open late into the evening. Their selections are always tempting and it makes it very hard to choose! The staff were very helpful and polite and worked to make our transaction quickly and smoothly.”

Mya took great care of the 3 ladies in the corner at 1’ish! Lashon was very informative about food wait times, the menu and just simply inviting! Having a doorman puts a certain class to the place that we all appreciated! The food was BOMB except for the collards. The mimosas were potent and well worth the bottomless price! I will definitely be back and so will my sisters. My sister is very hard to please but she spoke HIGHLY of her experience!”
