Again, we were welcomed with that endless southern charm from bartenders and locals. My partner wasn't sure what beer to have and was offered taster samples before they poured pints. Everyone was so friendly, and happy hour 4pm to 7pm at $5 a drink was a steal at this beautiful hotel. If I win the lottery, Im going to live there!

Its not one of the loud lively bars on Beale Street, but a tradional bar with southern warmth. Had a great time.“

“Visited Flying Saucer Draught Emporium at the Peabody Place location in Memphis with two coworkers and left with mixed but mostly positive impressions.

I ordered the Whiskey Burger without bacon, and the whiskey cheddar came through nicely while the blackberry compote was subtle, more of a background sweetness than a bold flavor. The patty itself was cooked well and the bun held up.

My only real complaint was the hand punched fries, which came out soggy and lacked the crispness I was hoping for.

One coworker ordered the Sputnik Monroe with a side of rocket tots and felt similarly let down by the tots, so between the two of us the sides were the weak point of the meal.
The other coworker went with the Big Dipper and hand punched fries and seemed satisfied with the pick.

Beyond the food, the atmosphere at this spot is hard to beat. The ceiling covered in bottle caps and the checkered floor give it a fun, lived in bar feel, and the service throughout our visit was attentive and friendly with no complaints there.
Between the strong burger, good service, and great atmosphere against the disappointing fries, I would still recommend Flying Saucer for a casual bite and a beer, just maybe skip the fries and try the tots or another side instead.“

“My husband and I stopped here on our way home to Texas from East Tennessee and had THE BEST time! The atmosphere, food, drinks, and staff are top notch! Our server, Debbie, had a great recommendation for the whiskey in my old fashioned and complimented my husband’s choice on his whiskey flight, giving him her advice on how to progress through the drinks for the best experience. The scotch eggs, fish and chips, bread pudding, and Bailey’s cheesecake were all fantastic! We’re making Celtic Crossing Memphis a must stop anytime we’re in our passing through Memphis from now on and recommend everyone to try them out!!“
