“I came to support a group of students earlier this week to celebrate winning king and queen of the school. First of all let me say the staff was very rude to the administration staff. Even though reservations were made and confirmed and they knew in advance that the students were coming they refused to seat our party and denied the reservations ever being made even after being shown the email messages. The female manager asked for us to wait outside of the restaurant being that it was about 42 degrees that day until the limousine arrived to pick the students back up . The children were dressed in their Sunday best with white dresses and the young boys were in tuxedos and were looking forward to having their luncheon that was awarded to them for their hard work at school. I strongly believe that if the students were not all African American and staff as well they would have treated us differently. I will never ever support nor spend money with Majestic Grill again. I was hurt the way they treated these students who worked oh so hard and were looking forward to what was supposed to be a special day to remember.“

The house band, The BB King All Stars were amazing to listen to. $10 cover to get in but we'll worth it for the food and music.“

The facility itself is a beautiful blend of industrial history and modern design, featuring massive glass windows that give you a direct view of the gleaming copper stills from the bar area. We had the yummy caviar dip appetizer and enjoyed our steaks very much. Really nice wine list. The beet and goat cheese salad, unfortunately, had v undercooked beets and goat cheese that had no discernible taste. The coconut custard in the cream pie was also kind of dull without much coconut flavor. That being said, we will go again, as those things did not create a bad experience overall. We very much enjoyed ourselves.“

“This was our first time there, and we ordered the Ali Baba Special Mixed Grill (for two) and Kibbeh. The food was absolutely delicious, and plentiful. Everything was grilled/cooked beautifully with a perfect amount of spice and flavor. The Kibbeh was beyond delicious! Our server was Hamza and he was very helpful and thoughtful, and we really appreciated his attentive - but not hovering - service! We will definitely be back (soon)!“

My steak was sheer perfection! I will forever remember that steak. I've been to numerous steakhouses in Memphis and a couple in Mississippi, and none of them compare to what Char served. Seasoned and cooked with love and skill! The creamed spinach and crab cake were equally delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his entree as well. The ambiance for me was too dark, though. We ended up putting our little table lamp in the center and closer to us so we could see without straining our eyes. Service was great, too. Very sweet waitress.“

I loved the banana pudding I took to go, but I would likely try other things on the menu if I returned. The portions are big and the plate was good for 2 people. I ordered the fried catfish plate with Mac n cheese, fried okra, and cucumber salad for pick up… Food was ready in 10 minutes and it was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!
