I turned 33 today and chose to eat here for my birthday dinner with my family for every reason they stand for. It’s a family environment with good people who work there and run the business. My Dads wallet fell out of his pocket while at the table and Chandler called to let me know they had found it. The meal was delicious ? hit the spot however the pieces of fish were very small as 2 pieces equaled 1 piece if sitting in the restaurant. The fries were like Wendy's fries & not like yall used to have! I called when I got home & a guy answered the phone & I told him my concern & he said he tells ppl to check the order before leaving which I didnt know I need to but I will from now on if i return. Me & a friend split the meal. The price was fine, the fish tasted good ?, she wasn't happy w/ her meal or her pecan pie so the 5* was more for the gal that took the order even tho my fish tasted good the pieces were way to small. Don’t let the full parking lot scare u like me thinking the wait would be long upon arrival the sign says 20-25 min wait but I was in and out in about 17 . I placed to go but u can dine in. The inside is much bigger than it seems in the outside . Back to the food filets were true catfish crispy not burnt evenly cooked all over . Fries were normal straight cut nothing fancy. The tartar sauce was so good I think it’s homemade no way that came out of a jar. Well I drink only water so no drink review but please go here if u want fast true authentic fish plate go here ! Food was amazing and is definitely in the Top 3 on my list and that's a pretty good list to add a little clarity to it! We will be returning to try other items. Shared insights into the menu and was able to provide recommendations based on our interests. Later we were visited by the Manager. The level of care for the customer in the customer shines through. Our waters never went empty. Food was served promptly after we settled on our choices. slightly disappointed in the presentation of the lemon asparagus and they did not have as much lemon flavor to them as I would have hoped for. Garlic mash was an absolute smash. Cowboy ribeye was cooked to perfection but my petite filet was slightly over cooked. I dared not send it back because it was still delicious. The flavors were exquisite and we recommend the bone marrow butter for a savory experience overload! All other menu items were excellent. The ambiance with the candle and low lights made for a nice setting. We were seated next to a larger wedding party so it got a bit noisy (but rightfully so!) overall our first experience was wonderful and we will likely be back again.“

“Saltwater Crab is now a must have every time I visit Memphis. I went here twice within the week I was there. The first time I went during lunch and had the lunch sushi special, can’t recall the rolls I got but it was bomb. The side salad that comes with it, I loved it so much. The second time I went I got the Cajun fried rice with chicken shrimp and veggies sooooo good! The service the first time was impeccable, no complaints. The second time I went during a busier time on a Saturday so the server wasn’t as attentive as I would’ve hoped. Overall, I will return for sure!“

“I have been coming to Nam King for over 30 years. They have the best Fried Rice and egg rolls in the city of Memphis. If you can’t get good fried rice, the rest of the food will be poor. “Every time we go to Memphis, we stop here. Their food and service are excellent. One of us always gets the catfish and I choose either fried shrimp or the cuban. They have a wide variety of menu items with different meat/veggie options for them. You can order a hurache with shrimp, beans and cheese, nopales or anything else you can think of. I love the options. The food is amazing and they have great customer service. I love that they provide hot salsa and green salsa in addition to the regular chips and salsa for no additional cost. The restaurant is located in a building with a few other businesses including a tire shop. You could order food and eat while getting a tire change which is super convenient. If you want authentic Mexican you definitely have to check this place out“

“Our motorcycle riding club had our National event here for 2023 and after days of riding, fast food and food trucks, this was a blessing.
