“I came to Itta Bena for my birthday last year and it was so good, I didn’t even hesitate to come again this year. The food and service is always incredible. Everyone is so kind. The experience is welcoming and professional from the moment you approach the host/hostess to the moment you get the check. I love this restaurant and I will be happy to continue celebrating birthdays with them!! (Our server was Jonathan this time, super nice guy!!)“

“I came to support a group of students earlier this week to celebrate winning king and queen of the school. First of all let me say the staff was very rude to the administration staff. Even though reservations were made and confirmed and they knew in advance that the students were coming they refused to seat our party and denied the reservations ever being made even after being shown the email messages. The female manager asked for us to wait outside of the restaurant being that it was about 42 degrees that day until the limousine arrived to pick the students back up . The children were dressed in their Sunday best with white dresses and the young boys were in tuxedos and were looking forward to having their luncheon that was awarded to them for their hard work at school. I strongly believe that if the students were not all African American and staff as well they would have treated us differently. I will never ever support nor spend money with Majestic Grill again. I was hurt the way they treated these students who worked oh so hard and were looking forward to what was supposed to be a special day to remember.“

“I really enjoyed dining at the Cocozza from the front door to the kitchen. The host Marie was excellent. She was charming, and a great start to our meal. She got us a glass of water and seated us quickly. it was a short wait till we got our menus. John waited on us. He was knowledgeable of the dishes offered and helped us to make up our minds as to which of the entrées we would like best. John was efficient and always there when we needed him without hovering over the table. The food and wine was excellent. I enjoyed my visit to La Cocozza. It was my first trip, but it certainly want be my last.“

The food was phenomenal - there was creativity, depth, and surprises with every menu item and drink I ordered. “The food and seevice was excellenr but the music was ruined by the sound engineer. 3 violins and a cello with a rock band would have been great if the bass was not so loud we had to eat outside. Rule no1. in sound engineering is, if you can't hear it why have it? Turn the ###### down.“

The fried green tomatoes and cornbread were delicious apps to start off !! A few mixed drinks and a glass of wine soothed the mood . “I recommend going for evening drinks/dinner. Cocktails are good, service is good, great atmosphere. Dinner food is also good. But I just went for brunch and it was meh. Bloody Mary was good and the breakfast potatoes were DELICIOUS, but I was surprised at the quality of the breakfast sandwich. It was tasty in its own right, but it was just three ingredients on a hamburger bun (not really the “brioche” the server said it was), something I could get wrapped up in foil at a grocery store. For a higher level restaurant, I was expecting something more. Would also love to see more options for egg Benedict than just pork belly; salmon is on the menu so it seems like it would be easy to put that as an egg Benedict option.“

“My fourteen year young son was in the International Blues Challenge in the youth category. James played four different venues although this one was the smallest, it was his favourite! The sound quality in it was fantastic as this was recorded on my cell phone.“

“Ciao Bella has to be 1 of my favorite restaurants in Memphis! Every dish I've had has been absolutely delicious! I try to save food to take home every time, but it never makes it! The service is amazing and I love how they designed the new restaurant! It's elegant but still very much inviting. I like to think of Ciao bella as my little well-known secret that I don't like sharing.“

“Quite an unusual place. One of the few places left in the country that still rents videos including VHS tapes. They have an open area where they set up chairs and have concerts. The atmosphere for the concert was intimate and the sound quality was very good.“

My favorites were the arancini and bucatini. I'll go back just for the bucatini alone. French onion ravioli has great flavor and the potato fondue was decadent and rich. When you see carrot cake on the menu of a place of this level, you know it has to be good. The carrot cake was over the top; the best I've ever had. They begin the meal with amuse bouche from the chef and end it with chocolates...how could you go wrong. Highly recommend. I'll definitely go back.Parking: Easy valet at the door. Parking garage directly across the street, open 24 hours.“

“This neighborhood place was a shocking great time! It wasn't fancy nor huge, but the vibe was easy pure soul and rich blues. The band was on fire! First the waitresses were serving hand patted burgers, golden hot catfish, and fries. Next- they'd hit the dance floor! Then, I was dancing too! It's a byob and I didn't even know that. The food was so good, I've been since for a late night hot meal rather than a drive through. I had so much fun that I came back with my party and celebrated my birthday. It was a blast! Big Don, Chloe, and the house band shut it down! With BYOB the price was right and everyone was into it.“

“It was amazing to meet people from all over the states and the world! The live band was great! I enjoyed my time in Nate’s Bar upstairs. Ray Charles, BB King, Jack White, Loretta Lynn, and the names go on to the great musicians who’ve stopped here to eat or do a little more. It’s also said to be haunted! Make sure to say Hi to Nate upstairs he’s worked there for over 30 years and has some stories! Also try the soul burger!“

“Amazing food! Everything was well seasoned and cooked to perfection! Had the Chicken and Lamb Kebobs with fries and lentil stew. I ate every single bite! “I love the decor and the theme. Everything about this spot is eye catching and feels like you've stepped into a Time Machine. The food was good and service was quick & friendly. The jerk Jamaican fish sandwich was really good and unique & I had fruit as the side. I loved that they had watermelon and in abundance & berries. My auntie had the chicken sandwich & did say she'd have preferred to have more meat than arugula so it was a little unfulfilling. Also had the beignets and they were delicious with the strawberry jam/syrup. Would definitely be back and a great place to take a friend“

“Had a great time at Mommas tonight. The Dive Tai was pretty strong! I enjoyed it. Sitting on the patio was nice and relaxing. Smoky wings were juicy and good. Chili was thick and flavorful. I really liked the fries. They were more like potato wedges so don’t skip the fries. Our waitress was really nice and even when I was just sitting there in a random spot waiting on my friend someone checked on me. Can’t wait to go back!“

“Went on a Sunday afternoon to check out the brunch and had a great time! As usual the food was delicious! I had the catfish and grits with breakfast potatoes, and couldn’t finish the plate. Drinks were on point too! I tried a mimosa and a cherry lemon drop. We sat at the bar and our server DeeDee was everything! Beautiful inside and out! If we do anything in midtown or downtown we always stop here after or before. The drink menu is perfect. We love the Beef Wellington. I love the drink hold onto your britches. Oh and order a green tea shot. Omg! Thank me later. It’s always clean. The staff is awesome never had any issues.“

“Awesome food.Molcajete is the best. Service today sucked. I had molcajete, cheese dip, sampler platter. There was so much on the table between those items, the girls drinks, my water and amargarita, and chips. No room, so we eat,get to go boxes no room, to even get the food in a box. 4 employees sitting behind the cashier talking, (we were at the first 4 top in front of the cashier) it was not busy we went early cuz we know how crowded it gets. Several servers walking around… not one, even our server didn’t take any dishes away, I was spilling food trying to move things around and get things out of the way to get in boxes. Very aggravating. I love the food there, but, I go out so I don’t have to cook, clean up, and to have a good time and relax. Not to work or be inconvenienced. I usually tip well, but , no not today. There’s 100’s of Mexican restaurants here. When I found this place we were on a quest to find the best Mexican restaurant in town… we stopped there as we believed we found the best.. but the service seems to be lacking lately, so I believe our quest will continue“

“Look growlers may be a small venue and the parking may suck but nothing beats their shows. They have amazing artists that show up and do awesome jobs. I've only had good experiences there. You're up close and personal with the band you may even get lucky enough to meet one face to face. Even if you're way back in the bar area they have great sound quality , the food is good. The price of booze and liquor are some what good and a great patio area to chill if you want to get out and get some fresh air also, the staff is pretty chill“

I was there in my professional capacity so I didn't get to eat or imbibe but now that I know the place isn't just a three beer joint, I'll go back with my wife and in law group. Basically, whatever they have to offer, I've tried it...twice! They have local good for purchase and it's a bookstore and restaurant, what more can you ask for. The service is always top tier, and the food is filling and flavorful. “Great cigar lounge and bar. This place has a cozy atmosphere and friendly locals. The bar tender “Dee” was very friendly and mixed several nice drinks. The bar specializes as a Bourbon bar but also caters to other drinks as well. The bourbon selection was impressive, and I was able to get three whiskeys that I’ve sought out for years, including Weller full proof and Weller Antique. The owner introduced himself and several of the locals would share a story or two around the bar. We stayed for hours longer than planned and enjoyed watching sports on the tv over the bar. If you would like to enjoy a cigar and a nice whiskey, I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this establishment. The friendly and knowledgeable staff and locals make for a pleasant evening.“

“Stopped by to hear Princess sing! And she didn't disappoint!! She was our bus driver on a recent tour of Memphis. The bar was typical of the area, but with New Orleans style food which was delicious...it's cooked in a central kitchen that services a few of the honky tonk bars in a row. Very informal, paper goods, etc. All drinks are about the same on Beale Street...nothing special.....but hey, the music is great, and that's why I went there in the first place.“
