“I came to support a group of students earlier this week to celebrate winning king and queen of the school. First of all let me say the staff was very rude to the administration staff. Even though reservations were made and confirmed and they knew in advance that the students were coming they refused to seat our party and denied the reservations ever being made even after being shown the email messages. The female manager asked for us to wait outside of the restaurant being that it was about 42 degrees that day until the limousine arrived to pick the students back up . The children were dressed in their Sunday best with white dresses and the young boys were in tuxedos and were looking forward to having their luncheon that was awarded to them for their hard work at school. I strongly believe that if the students were not all African American and staff as well they would have treated us differently. I will never ever support nor spend money with Majestic Grill again. I was hurt the way they treated these students who worked oh so hard and were looking forward to what was supposed to be a special day to remember.“

She once wrestled a possum off of my car for me and then trained him and then housed him because he was an orphan. I wonder how that possum is doing these days? “So definitely a great vibe, decor, atmosphere. Super cool, very few places in Memphis like it.

But classic cocktail prices are really too steep, nonetheless the signature ones(like $18+ before taxes). So after tip you're in at $20+ for a Manhattan. (And I know TN liquor plus sales basically sets price to +25%.) But I know I can get same/better at a lot of places. The NAs are also way up there imo.

There was also a listed special on the menu that was not honored. The special was the reason I had decided to come back a second time, and bring a friend I told the special to. So we got there and found that it wouldn't be honored. I got the impression that management is super rigid and puts staff under a lot of pressure and would limit the staff from being able to honor the special. Impression might be wrong.

Really cool place if you just have money burning a hole in your pocket, but for the price and not honoring the discount listed on the menu it's hard for me to justify returning when I can get same/better elsewhere.“
