“I love eating here!!! Idk why I hadn’t reviewed it before or taken pictures of my food before, but I can definitely say that el gallo giro is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. It was my birthday not to long ago and I decided to go out to eat, to celebrate and honestly it was worth it, the food is a 10/10 (like aways) and it made me realize that it’s been now 12 years since I first ever came to eat here, and honestly the food is as delicious as it was that first time. I honestly can’t recommend any other place but here, everything is so good.“

“This place was referred to me by one of my patients. I kept saying I can't find any decent tamales since I moved here two years ago. She was please tell me about this lovely little spot I absolutely love their tamale options and have gone back multiple times. I found this place in my adventures in memphis as I was holding up getting repairs done. The breakfast here specifically titas breakfast was amazing. “I’m from Texas, so I never get my hopes up when I order tacos (especially street tacos) so I don’t get disappointed. While waiting to pick a load up here in Memphis, I decided to Uber Eats some tacos. I thought these would be the basic skimpy street tacos you usually get and eat like 5 and still be hungry so I ordered 6. I’m a big guy and 3 filled me up when I can usually do 7-10 from a standard taco truck. They don’t skimp on meat, full of flavor, the Pastor were possibly the best I’ve ever had. And the asada and barbacoa would compete head to head with the best I’ve had! If you’re looking for tacos this is THE PLACE!“

“Going against the latest trend, this food truck is actually stationary and only open at night. This refreshing change up is rewarded by the great food and knowledgeable crew. I loved the Mulitas. They were tasteful and plentiful and beautifully plated. The prices are reasonable. I made the mistake of taking a bite before getting my pictures...lol...so that is why there aren't any. But, since I will go back, I will get multiple pics then.“

Don’t know how good the other food is. Never ordered it. Torta de carnitas with whatever homemade salsa they’ve got that day, dipping the whole sandwich in it like I’m eating a French dip with au jus. Bread so soft. Carnitas so tender. Salsa so smoky. “Hands down, no exception, beyond a reasonable doubt, unequivocally.... the best tacos in town! I need to figure out how I ordered the first time because they were dipped in a red broth or something, and it was amazing! Love all the tacos I have ordered so far.
I can't wait to go back again and again!!!
Service is great and if you're somewhat in a hurry, this should be your go-to.

Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating. They have seats and tables for the children to sit. And even have a tv they sometimes play kid movies on. The whole store look very vibrant and attractive to the eye. Kids will enjoy being in here to eat some treats !

Parking: The parking is Infront of the store. However because the store is low key there's not much space to park. You would need to mainly park in the store next to it to have good and safe parking.“

“This food was so good. It tasted like really good home cooking. They were so friendly and helped me decide what to order, which wasn’t easy because it all looked good, and honestly I wanted everything. I decided to try the beef soup. Hearty, delicious, and filling big bowl of soup with beef, potatoes, corn, cabbage. It was so homey and authentic and real, that I think the soup probably changes based on the ingredients and la Señora deciding what she wants that day.

I have to go back soon for the tacos. Or the empanadas. Cheese and banana empanadas! Ok yes. That’s what I need next. Or tamales? Help!

Dec. 24, I got some tamales to add to the Christmas dinner feast. Chicken, cheese, and pork. I heated them on low in the oven Christmas Day, and they were all excellent. I think I’ll make tamales part of our family’s Christmas tradition from now on.“

To that extent, I'm a huge foodie so I love all sorts of food and have had variations of Mexican food from several different countries; my palate can attest to that. So, with all that being said -- this place serves pretty solid Mexican food. I've tried margarita storm, charlie browns, and a few others. They all have their merits, and honestly, most of these places charge an arm and a leg for a damn taco. lol So give these guys a break. Overall, the food in my experience at least, has tasted great. Service was pretty good too; it's a small place, but they've recently moved to a new location which I love. Their pricing isn't bad, like at all lol. And their taco tuesay, don't even get me started on the variety you get from this place. It's awesome. Their horchata, not bad. Beer selection, also not bad. Overall, this place isn't bad at all. Now, is the best? hmmm, perhaps not, but it meets my needs and I'm happy with that tbh. If you want gourmet mexican food in thailand, expect to pay accordingly.“
