“I ordered the shrimp tacos add bacon, they were very good until I got a shrimp that had not been peeled. The salsa that came with the chips was not the best, it was thin and not very tasty. Everything else was delicious, my wife and I really enjoyed our outing and we will return.“
“In my top two favorite Mexican restaurants. Food is always hot, by far the best attentive service without feeling like they are hovering over you. Drinks that actually have alcohol in them. This spot has never let me down in all our visits even when they've been packed or their printer was down. They let you know by communicating what the hold up was and thanked you for your patience. If only I could give more than 5 stars I would.“
“We were staying the night in Southhaven and had a craving for Mexican food. We were happy we found El Agave and gave them a try even though the parking lot was packed. We thought the wait would be very long but we got seated immediately. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. The organic margarita was fantastic. The food was delicious as well. We'll be back the next time we travel through town. Highly recommend El Agave!“
“It's a smaller restaurant, but it's a TOTAL HIDDEN GEM in Southaven. The first time my hubby and I went was on a kid free Cinco de Mayo 2 or 3 years ago. I'm typically not a huge Mexican food fan ( don't like onions, peppers, or spice), but this restaurant was different. It has lots of option.... I mean HUGE LIST! THE DRINKS ARE AMAZING!!! NOT WATERED DOWN AT ALL. If possible, sit in our new friend's (Hunter) section, he was so sweet and attentive, even with a restaurant full of people. My husband started calling him 2 Chainz after drinking the first quarter of his margarita....LOL...SMH!! I had a Walk Me Down that's comparable to the ones I've had in New Orleans.....that says A LOT!!! Just try it! I do t think you'll be disappointed.“
“Has become my favorite Mexican food in the area! Way easier to get in and out of compared to the other "bigger" places in the area. The attention to the food, quality is always on point, and the restraunt is always clean and inviting. Make sure to try the home made horchata. Lunch specials are on point too!!“
“Completely revamped and new menu from the prior restaurant. Was hesitant to try after experiences at old establishment but glad we did. Service was top notch and food was great. Happy we went and definitely will be back. Give them another chance if you previously wrote off old place, won’t be “
“4 adults and 17 month-old twin girls ! Quite the dinner party . The staff & servers were great .The food was great .The Beer Selection, Sangria, and Margaritas were all good . This is a local resident's go-to place . When in town, I'll be back .“
“They brought out wrong Fahitas they brought chicken instead of beef bell peppers were burnt when they brought out Steak fajitas the meat was dry burnt and stuck to skillet. Our waiter was a bit slow .I would be understanding if they were very busy but it was not at all . There was barely a handful there.“
“Great restaurant all around. Good portions of delicious and well cooked food for a relatively low price. Had an excellent server who was very attentive. I got the XX battered shrimp tacos with blackbeans and cilantro lime rice and it was amazing! The only critiques I have are that the rice was a little dry/old and the slaw on the taco was a little bland. With that being said, I would absolutely order it again as is. Y'all, do yourself a favor and get the deep fried banana cheesecake with ice-cream. My mouth is watering just thinking about it again. I'm not positive, but the ice-cream even tasted like it was homemade. HUGE portion for an extremely low price. Normally restaurants rip you off with dessert. Not here. I'm coming back to this area for work next month and will definitely be eating here again.Parking: Not many spots available. Parking lot is in disrepair.Kid-friendliness: Relatively calm atmosphere, booster seats and highchairs offered, coloring pages and crayons offered.“
“Waitress was just OK, had to ask for silverware, napkins and a refill, but the food was great, I felt our service suffered because there was only 2 and not a group of 4 or more, I watched all the groups get impeccable service but felt neglected or maybe “
“I had the Birria Tacos (I think I spelled that right) and I must highly recommend them to you! It's nothing fancy, just three corn tortillas that are nicely seasoned with the birria (think au jus or French dip) meat inside. On the side you're given the juice the meat cooks in which is very nicely flavored l, chopped onions, diced jalapeños, and cilantro. Service was very quick, I expected it to take longer as it was lunch time on a Friday but there was no wait to be seated and the food came quickly as well.“
“Such a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed all of our experience. Not sure the marketing is out there and that many people know about it as it wasn't that busy. Maybe a grand opening streamers to get people in. Once in, people will return. Better than El Agave especially it isn't so “
“The people here are very kind and do a great job of getting your food to you quickly. I had the fajita bowl with chicken. It was very good and I will get it again. I do recommend this place to anyone looking for good food at a descent price who only has about 30 minutes to eat.“
