Bardog Tavern is a popular local bar in downtown Memphis, known for its friendly atmosphere, attentive service, and great food served until late. The menu offers a diverse range of options, including delicious sliders, a unique "beaver eater" shot, and the best meatball sandwich many customers have ever had. This great place has a great, old time, city public house feel with lots of dark, warm tones and a dive bar but a good dive bar atmosphere. It is a great spot to get a little bit of everything for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with great prices for the downtown area. Customers also praise the motherclucker sandwich and the best shot they have ever had, called "The Mel". The food is solid, well prepared, with generous portions and crafted with obvious care. The staff is always nice and friendly. Bardog Tavern is worth a stop for a late afternoon refreshment and very solid food, making it a great place to dine in or order to-go.
