So many people wished us a happy anniversary, and the service was top-notch. The food was amazing as always, and the complimentary Mini Indulgences were such a sweet surprise! “Visited Flying Saucer Draught Emporium at the Peabody Place location in Memphis with two coworkers and left with mixed but mostly positive impressions.

I ordered the Whiskey Burger without bacon, and the whiskey cheddar came through nicely while the blackberry compote was subtle, more of a background sweetness than a bold flavor. The patty itself was cooked well and the bun held up.

My only real complaint was the hand punched fries, which came out soggy and lacked the crispness I was hoping for.

One coworker ordered the Sputnik Monroe with a side of rocket tots and felt similarly let down by the tots, so between the two of us the sides were the weak point of the meal.
The other coworker went with the Big Dipper and hand punched fries and seemed satisfied with the pick.

Beyond the food, the atmosphere at this spot is hard to beat. The ceiling covered in bottle caps and the checkered floor give it a fun, lived in bar feel, and the service throughout our visit was attentive and friendly with no complaints there.
Between the strong burger, good service, and great atmosphere against the disappointing fries, I would still recommend Flying Saucer for a casual bite and a beer, just maybe skip the fries and try the tots or another side instead.“

The worst thing about Hernando's Hideaway is having to leave when the party is over. Every time I have been to The Hideaway, it is an escape to another era.“

“Last night's dining experience was surreal; to put it nicely. A woman across from us (at the bar) ate less than half her Calamari before placing her napkin on top, indicating she was done. We witnessed a couple who were sharing a sandwich send it back to be remade. My Veggie Burger was tasteless and falling apart. My husband's Blackened Fish Sandwich was dry, and served without the Aioli. Our sandwiches were hot, but the fries were a bit under done and cold. The staff were all on point and the service was fantastic (thank you, Mike). Yet, y'all need to double check the Sunday Night kitchen staff. We're regulars (2-3 times per week); last night was a disappointment. Sorry. (But, we still recommend as it's always been top notch until last night).“

The salad was bigger than I thought.i would have gotten dessert which was key lime pie. I was so full I didn't think about ordering it. I wish I had gotten it to go. I will next time. “I went to this fabulous restaurant for Mother's Day, with family, and again today, and I have to say, everything was amazing, the food was incredible , I had an amaretto sour, it was the best, I ever had, this service was without a doubt, impeccable, we never had to for one thing, the waitress, came to ask us, if we needed anything, so many times, you would have thought, we were her only customers, she was awesome, I will be going back in the very near future, they most definitely deserve 5 stars.“

“I recently visited The Wing Factory and was impressed. I ordered the honey hot wings with lemon pepper sprinkles and a Kool-Aid. The wings were big and flavorful, and the honey hot sauce was perfect. I was unable to finish the 10-piece wings and fries in one sitting, which means the wings are a good size. The staff was very nice and helpful with the menu since it was my first time. The Wing Factory is right by my house so I will probably make it a go-to spot for the future!“

“If you're in Memphis and you find yourself at Delta's Kitchen, do yourself a favor and ask for Alexa.

I came in planning to grab a quick bite and keep it moving. HEEEEERRRRR... baby... Alexa had other plans. 😂 She knows how to read her audience. She set the tone from the moment I sat down and turned what was supposed to be a meal into an experience. She made me feel so comfortable that I actually slowed down, relaxed, and enjoyed myself.

The fried green tomatoes were an absolute treat. You can tell there's real culinary passion behind this menu. By the time I finished my meal, I was having such a good time that I asked what the dessert options were. I honestly can't remember the last time I ordered dessert at a restaurant. I landed on the chocolate chip bread pudding, and Lord... it was to die for.

Was the food good? Duh.

But great food is only part of what makes people come back. Alexa created the kind of hospitality that makes you want to stay a little longer, order one more thing, and just enjoy the moment. That's a gift.

“Mr. Willie Moore is a true gentleman and a Legend. We took a photo together in front of his iconic photo with Dr. Martin Luther King. We were the first customer in the morning and we got some delicious southern soul food. Everyone was so nice and my kids loved Mr. Moore.

I was craving chitterlings and he did not disappoint. Everything was on point. Even my daughter ate a bunch of them but my son screamed out POOPOO! LOL!! The cashier (maybe Mr. Moore’s son) even got me some real old school skillet made cornbread that was fire!

The folks here are so nice and my family had a great time! The fried chicken was finger licking good. Smackin, as the young folks say. The skin was crispy and the meat was juicy. I recommend this spot and will stop by again the next time I’m in Memphis.“
