“Went to Uncle Lou's probably 10 yrs ago and was really hesitant as first because there were 5-6 cop cars next door at a complex with 20-25 people standing around but once we enter the restaurant I couldn't believe the southern hospitality!! The food was delicious and the ladies working made sure we were pleased with everything. I had my wife and kids with me and they even took my kids to the back and let them refill their drinks. So pleased with the kindness and genuine care for people! If I ever get back to Memphis - this will definitely be on my list!“

“I arrived at the airport 3 hours before my flight, expecting it to be busy with holiday travelers. I was wrong. I decided to grab a seat at their bar while waiting for my flight to board. The bar was quiet, as was most of the airport. Customer service was great. The bartender recommends her favorite pizza. I was looking forward to trying it but they were out of a few toppings. I ended up having the buffalo chicken pizza with onions and two of their signature drinks. The pizza exceeded my expectations. The crust was crispy and it was drizzled with extra buffalo sauce. I probably would have preferred blue cheese over the ranch that it came with but it was still really good. I enjoyed two of their signature drinks- black panther and a thin line between love and hate. The black panther (vodka, blue curacao, grenadine, lime juice and sprite) was my favorite out of the two.“

Some may operate from a gas station or truck stop. They all have something to offer, but they don't really stand out in the grand scheme of things. Then, there's Crumpy's on Dunlap!There is streetside parking, which is ok. If you're not used to being in different types of neighborhoods in Memphis, you may want to go somewhere else. The restaurant is about the only sign of life you'll see for a few blocks. Overall, I feel comfortable at this place. It's a small, quaint restaurant with very limited seating. I didn't see any menus posted, but they do have QR codes you can scan. That saves them money and reduces germs inside the restaurant.When I visit, I only get the honey gold sauce. I appreciate the variety of flavors they offer, but I finally found one sauce that I can stick with and be happy with. I don't venture from that.Earlier I said most wing places in Memphis are cookie-cutter, carbon copies of each other. At this Crumpy's, there's one person who makes this location worth the drive and stand out. His name is Loco. There may be 1000 people in front of him placing orders, but he doesn't miss a step. “I have been coming to Nam King for over 30 years. They have the best Fried Rice and egg rolls in the city of Memphis. If you can’t get good fried rice, the rest of the food will be poor. We drove past the Smackers location Hwy 64 and decided to give it a try. We had never heard of Smackers, much less eaten at one. Walking in was impressive, the store was clean and well decorated! The staff was extremely helpful in our decision making and clearly knew their brand well! We had a seat and spoke to a few locals who sang the praises. We showed up about 1 ish and we were the only ones eating in but saw a steady stream of phone in orders being picked up. My partner got the chicken fried rice and I agreed with her it should have had more chicken in it. I selected the steak and shrimp sub and the meat was ground up, not hamburger but certainly not sirloin. Few shrimp in it. The ribs were amamzing just tell them to hold off on the sprinkle of seasoning which I found a bit salty. But perfectly flavored without it. And the mustard base, tangy bbq sauce we have in florida they didn’t have but it was good. I’m glad they didn’t put any sauce on I just the seasoning salt. The baked beans, had pickled something in it and a red strip bologna cut up in the beans which was new to me, and it wasn’t sweet but it was tender. They had cole slaw which also had a different tang, not a bit sweet, but very tangy. Overall it was new to me but Memphis bbq is different from Florida bbq. As long as the meat is cooked and the sauce isn’t over powering I enjoyed it.“

The atmosphere is a great environment and the cleanliness is great. I try to go on Tuesday when the wings are discounted. With wings prices going so high you almost have to get a loan .“

Also in orders 2 orders of wings, one honey bbq and 1 mild. The honey bbq was fine, nothing really to write home about but not was a nice thick sauce, not runny or anything. Now the mild, that was a really well done Buffalo sauce. I walked in, gave my name, the cashier got my food (I had paid on the website) and I was right back out the door and headed back on the road for the 30+ minute drive home. Everyone was quite happy with this dinner and I will definitely visit this location again!!
