I went to see The Red Clay Strays at Growlers, and it was a great time!! The sound was perfect, the water was cold, and the drinks were very affordable. I will DEFINITELY see another show at this venue.
Growlers has a dark, gritty atmosphere that matches many of the bands who play there. The aesthetic is solid, with a somewhat "hole in the wall" feel to it. Typical for such concert venues is the excessively loud speakers that make it painful on the ears and impossible to talk to others, much less hold a conversation. Look growlers may be a small venue and the parking may suck but nothing beats their shows. They have amazing artists that show up and do awesome jobs. I've only had good experiences there. You're up close and personal with the band you may even get lucky enough to meet one face to face. Even if you're way back in the bar area they have great sound quality , the food is good.
