It was my first time eating here. I enjoyed it. They have really good food & service. I had the country fried steak, twice baked potatoes and side salad. The salad was bigger than I thought.i would have gotten dessert which was key lime pie. I was so full I didn't think about ordering it. I wish I had gotten it to go. I will next time. If you haven't eaten here, do. Its a menphis treasure.
Delicious food... the backend catfish, onion rings, buffalo chicken rolls, and seafood bisque... Delicious!
Friendly fast service. Cool funky vibe.

The Blue Monkey offers delicious food, including pot roast on Fridays, hotwing egg rolls, twice-baked potatoes, a phenomenal burger with perfectly cooked meat and toasted buns, creamed spinach, and some of the best catfish in the city. The service is highly commended, and the location in Midtown is noted to be bigger. While the to-go plates have no dividers, the food and service make for a great dining experience. Visitors are often pleased to find good food and friendly staff, with many returning two to three times a month. The overall atmosphere may look like a dive bar, but the food, including Buffalo chicken egg rolls and bar snacks, is enjoyed by many. The Blue Monkey is a convenient spot for a quick bite or drink, especially when other bars are closed early in Memphis.
