“I came to support a group of students earlier this week to celebrate winning king and queen of the school. First of all let me say the staff was very rude to the administration staff. Even though reservations were made and confirmed and they knew in advance that the students were coming they refused to seat our party and denied the reservations ever being made even after being shown the email messages. The female manager asked for us to wait outside of the restaurant being that it was about 42 degrees that day until the limousine arrived to pick the students back up . The children were dressed in their Sunday best with white dresses and the young boys were in tuxedos and were looking forward to having their luncheon that was awarded to them for their hard work at school. I strongly believe that if the students were not all African American and staff as well they would have treated us differently. I will never ever support nor spend money with Majestic Grill again. I was hurt the way they treated these students who worked oh so hard and were looking forward to what was supposed to be a special day to remember.“

“Had so much fun on Friday the 3rd we came back on the 4th as well. Our first trip to Beale st and loved it. Food was awesome and came out quick. Shout out to Maddie who took awesome care of us. That gal will hustle and is fun. When we came back Saturday and saw her again it was a no brainer and asked for her section. Yep made another great night. The live music was great they play great and engaged the crowd. Couldn’t have been better guys Our trip was just to see Memphis and Beale street in particular and it was a huge success. Next trip and Silky O’Sullivans is top of our list of must do items.“

“I’m in Memphis on business and staying in an Airbnb. While looking at the area on Google Maps, I saw Hugstables was nearby and after reading the reviews (and the owners responses), I knew I needed to try.

The double cheeseburger was the biggest I’ve ever seen. It was perfectly cooked and served with a load of steak fries. I also ordered some hot wings and fried okra. Again, perfection.

I love Hugstables and you will too. 💪🏽💪🏽“

“We had brunch and arrived a bit early for our reservation. They accommodated us immediately, super nice. Bloody Mary was spot on! We had the pimento appetizer and it was lovely. Curry chicken salad for me and the burger for hubs. Both were delicious and hearty without feeling stuffed!“

“Please tell your servers to observe the table for need(s). Please don't interrupt the table conversation only to ask "How is everything?" "Do you need more water?" Simply observe the table, make eye contact, and walk slowly by. If a customer needs something, they will ask you, and you can avoid possibly upsetting the table conversation.“

“Coolest dive bar in the area. Table was re-felted yesterday but needs to be leveled. Jeremy might be one of the best bartenders in town right now. Owner would do good to keep him. He had every single person’s drink memorized when I walked in. Killer patio. TouchTunes jukebox and 3 live music venues close. Try the burger.“

“The owners are just amazing. Mary walks around and interacts with everyone letting them know that everyone is treated as family. Their son Devin helped me with a flat tire one time and advised me on a new haircut!!! I definitely look better after his advice. Chelsea is the bartender and is always ready with prompt service. She once wrestled a possum off of my car for me and then trained him and then housed him because he was an orphan. I wonder how that possum is doing these days? If you want to experience a family atmosphere, this is the place to go. Today we salute you Harvester, thank you.“

“the craftmanship of the fishbowl was gorgeous and very detailed. while service was pretty slow, every host was considerate and compassionate. my friends and i ate at wahlburgers right next to the bowling alleys, and i would 10/10 recommend. their food was delicious for reasonable prices ($16 burgers).

The evening started on the loveliest note thanks to Latasha, who greeted me right away with a bright welcoming smile and the kind of easy warmth that makes you feel instantly comfortable. She checked in just enough, never rushed, always present. You could tell she genuinely enjoys taking care of people, and that energy set the tone for the whole visit.

Behind the bar, the bartender was equally inviting. Calm, confident, and clearly in her element, crafting drinks with care and a little Memphis attitude. There was no rush, no edge, just smooth service and a sense that you were in good hands.

Margarita moment:
Fresh lime flavor, tequila that does not whisper, and a properly salted rim. Memphis does not play when it comes to margaritas. It was so good I ordered a second without hesitation.

Short rib quesadilla:
Corn tortillas (yes please), beautifully plated, and stuffed with an over the top amount of real beef rib. Tender, not pot roast, and the spice level was just right. The Chihuahua cheese brought that gooey, stretchy, melt in your mouth goodness that makes a quesadilla unforgettable.
A couple of gentle notes: I would have loved a little more seasoning in the beef for extra depth, the pico had more heat than I prefer, and the guacamole could shine even more with fresher, greener avocados. Nothing deal breaking, just small tweaks.
The vibe here is happy and welcoming, with staff buzzing around and clearly enjoying their work. Great service, strong drinks, and a satisfying meal. Definitely worth the stop.“
