Chicken paillard was absolutely delicious. Cocktails were fantastic & bar service was lovely.
No doubt best places are hidden wonders! River Oaks in Memphis, TN has one of the best Halibut I ever tasted!, no special sauce or condiments, just perfect with green beans, cherry tomatoes, olives, petit potatoes cooked to perfection, a flavor balance you don’t experience often! Crab cakes are awesome as well, my dirty martini with Gray Goose was also perfectly dry and cold!

River Oaks Restaurant offers consistently delicious food with surprising specials in an upscale setting, perfect for a date or entertaining clients. The sea scallops and crispy tuna are standout dishes. The intimate dining room and excellent bar create a great atmosphere for any occasion. Though parking onsite can be a bit of a hassle, the overall experience is worth it. Recent reviews highlight exceptional food, including superb gazpacho soup, beautifully presented crème brule’, and delicious crab cakes served with a fresh salad featuring mango and avocado. The bar’s Manhattan is highly recommended, and the service remains very good. Guests praise the attentive waitstaff, with water glasses refilled often and managers stopping by to check on guests. The atmosphere is lively and joyous, sometimes loud with larger groups, but that doesn’t detract from the overall experience. Many guests find the meals wonderful and plan to return, despite the occasional noise. The menu can be a bit vague, so asking about dishes is advised. Overall, it’s a great place for good food and a vibrant setting, even if parking and noise can be minor inconveniences.
