“Delicious meal in an upscale setting (inside). Salmon was prepared terrific with a light glaze and decent portion. The table enjoyed an assortment of appetizers which everyone enjoyed the baked brie as well as the tuna tartar. Solid wine selection and good desserts which the table thought the key lime pie was best. Attentive service. A good place to entertain clients, family or have a romantic dinner.“

“This place gets 5-stars for everything: 1) food (omg the biscuits and gravy all made in house including grinding their own sausage…so good); 2) atmosphere (perfectly bougie and moody in all the right ways); and 3) service (can I give 6 stars, or 20?). One employee, Christie Johnson, is now my favorite person on planet earth. After my great breakfast, I accidentally left a bag behind that I needed for work (it had everything in it I needed for a big talk at U Memphis that day)…I called the restaurant when I realized I had left it, and I was trying to think of the best way to get the bag quickly (pay a courier? Send it in an Uber ride?). Christie said she remembered me from that morning and said she would hand deliver my bag when her shift ended. First, what angel of a human offers this?! Second, the university campus is a good 25-min drive from the restaurant, so she really went out of her way to drive across town. Christie saved the day for me, saved my presentation, and then even followed up and asked how the talk went. I’m still blown away. Now the Bishop isn’t just a good meal for me, it’s a place I can’t wait to come back to again and again. Thank you, Christie!!!“
“Just an okay experience. The atmosphere is great and the location is in a good spot for parking but they also offer valet. The service was okay, he wasn't very friendly and just seemed to be hasty. The escargot was cooked well but really needed more bread and more butter in the murky broth. Maybe this is more authentic prep, but I've had it many times and it wasn't my favorite. The scallops were large but overcooked. My husband said his was just okay. Overall not that impressed and not sure I'd go back.“
