“My second time and it got even better. My wife and I dropped in on a Friday. I really try to avoid the weekend crowds, especially in Southaven due to restaurants being overcrowded. Juicy crab is big and spacious so that wasn't a problem.The food was perfectly seasoned and wait time was not too long. We forgot our waitress name but she went above and beyond serving us. Together we ordered 3 1/2 lbs snow crabs, 1lb crawfish, and 1lb shrimp. We also tried soft shelled crab and fried green tomatoes for appetizers. Of course we had the extras like corn, egg, and potatoes.We gave it our all but we needed a to go bag and two teenagers finished the leftovers the next day and they were stuffed. It was a lot of food. As far as the atmosphere, music was playing on the bar side which wasn't too loud. I'm a really big guy and I'm always worried about seating and the sturdiness of chairs. My seat held me with ease, which was reassuring. Staff was very friendly, inviting, and professional. If you're of the younger crowd the weekends are for you. If a quiet dinner is what you're looking for try during the week. Definitely our go to spot.“
“I love Captain D's...I know everyone doesn't share that sentiment. Had the spicy fish for the first time and it was great. And the service here is very good...they have a great dining room attendant who is very friendly and helpful.“
“Experience was A+++The very FIRST one was in Chicago!!!! The one on 3rd end up closing but THIS one rrrrriiiiiiggght HERE!!!!!! Yyyyyeeeaaaahhhh (Lil John voice) They on point, plus they have the lemon pepper seasoning to drop in to that junt!!!!!! Whoever wrote them bad reviews must had a bad attitude coming in the door. “The wings were really good, especially for the price! They were really big compared to wings I've had elsewhere, and both sauces I tried were really good (teriyaki and garlic parm). I feel like there was a good amount of sauce, it is just a little thin so doesn't stick to the wing as well as thicker sauce, but there was extra in the bottom to re dip and the flavor definitely compensates. I'd definitely go again ?“
“This was the first time in my life when everything was perfect. The waitress was amazing I think her name was Carol... she was pleasant nice attentive and made helpful suggestions. The food was great had great temperature and taste. Everything was just perfect and thats very rare for restaurants these days.“
“One star removed for a rude hostess that seemed annoyed to be there. Otherwise great experience. Filet was incredible as is, don’t bother with a sauce. Kayla was a lovely server. Would definitely recommend. Though management should talk to their hostess.“
“ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. My family came in a party of 9 and the place was packed. We stuck around and eventually got two tables, and our waitresses were lovely and so sweet. The food was SO GOOD, highly recommend the shrimp & grifts and the seafood etouffee. Family loved the Miss Lou burger, catfish basket, fried pickles, and bananas foster pudding. Would love to revisit the next time I'm here. :)“

“First time here. Came in on a friday night. Food was good , nice music, server was good. Only thing is we got our check at 605 pm and was charged 18% gratuity even tho we were done eating before and waiting on ticket. Was told after we saw ticket that any ticket printed on Friday after 6 gets the 18% put on. Other than that everything was good“
