“I loved their vegan options. The food was delicious. The staff were friendly, prompt and knowledgeable of the products they serve. It was clean and the atmosphere was serene. It’s not close to where I stay so I try to go there at least once a week.“
“My 1st time visiting was on Sunday for Memphis Black Restaurant week. The food was delicious and one of the owners even gave me a tour of their venue. Beautiful artwork displayed. Will definitely be back for more smoked turkey ribs, broccoli cheese cornbread amd smoked cabbage. Highly recommend.“
“This place was perfect for a caffeine intake and to hang out for a bit. They had lattes, beer (coffee beer!), mixed drinks (espresso based drinks) and foods. My family spent time trying different drinks and playing different board games. Drinks and playing "Settlers of Catan" is the recipe for a good time. I should say the staff was very nice on our visit.“
“This place has a fantastic atmosphere. The workers are all so happy and joking and laughing with each other and the guests, and I love that!As for food, it was great and not so great at the same time. I got a latte made with almond milk, but it seems like it wasn't sweetened at all, so I had to sweeten it and ruin the beautiful barista art.I got "The Rachel" but made vegan and "naked" as a scramble. I was really excited for this, but it had almost zero flavor. I had to load it up with salt, pepper, and hot sauce. Tofu is one of those things that you have to season really well, otherwise it'll taste like a sponge. Also, the vegetables that were on the scramble weren't cooked at all, they were raw.The vegan pancakes, however, were PHENOMENAL! I've never had vegan pancakes that fluffy and delicious. I'm so glad I wasn't able to finish it all because now I get to eat the rest tomorrow lol.Overall, I'd return, I'd just voice my comments beforehand.“
“This is a Downtown Gem! If you want a nice breakfast croissant stuffed with ham and cheddar, a bagel, hot tea, or their specialty a piping hot cup of coffee this is the place for you then! Customer service is amazing, and the price is just as amazing! You will not be dissatisfied!“
“This cute shop nestled inside Hustle and Dough is pet-friendly! I saw quite a few well behaved pooches lounging comfortably at the feet of their owners. The layout is living room-esque with lots of seating options for single, duo, or friend groups to gather. The lady at the counter recommended the Bourbon mocha and helped me customize with Oat milk since aim dairy free. It was HEAVENLY! The mocha was mixed with a slight spice and the sweet warmth that just slid down my throat to warm my belly. I enjoyed it thoroughly and can’t recommend enough.“
“If you want good smooth espresso coffee this is the place. I got myself a salted caramel latte and I can definitely taste the espresso. It doesn't leave a bad after taste in your mouth and doesn't taste burnt. I like sweet, but I like my coffee too. It's got to compliment each other and this is it.“
“Global Cafe is a culinary haven where different worlds of flavors collide in the most delightful way. Picture this – one space, multiple grills, and a menu that takes you on a gastronomic journey across various countries. It's a concept that's as brilliant as it is delicious. What I appreciate about Global Cafe is their commitment to catering to diverse tastes. Their menu doesn't just cover the basics; it spans the four food groups, ensuring there's something for everyone. And if you're a vegan, rejoice – they've got options that are just as flavorful and satisfying. The ordering process is simple and efficient – you place your order upfront, grab a number, and settle in at your table. The anticipation builds as you wait for your meal, and when it arrives, it's a feast for the senses. Now, let's talk specials. Global Cafe doesn't just stick to the ordinary; they spice things up with unique specials that add an extra layer of excitement to your dining experience. And here's the cherry on top – the convenience. If you're in a hurry or just prefer a cozy night in, you can order through their app and breeze in for a quick pickup. It's a splendid experience from start to finish, making Global Cafe a go-to spot for a culinary adventure that satisfies both your taste buds and your busy schedule.Parking is not fun. You may have a little walk, but it’s worth it.Parking: It’s often a bit of a struggle. The paid spots are closer to the door.“
“I was there for a private party. Not sure if it's a actual lounge or an event center. But it's quite large with two rooms. One has a bar and what looked like a dance floor. The second room was slightly smaller but was more than ample for the party of fifty. Could have had better lighting. I would recommend it to someone needing a nice place for a get together.“
“They mainly do catering orders but they also have a cafe open for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is pretty basic but good, sausage and bacon, chicken biscuits and such. Great lunch spot for simple salads and wrap selections, and excellent soup. Very nice quiet cafe for sitting and chilling. Cool spot that not many people know about since it's around the back of the office building.“
“Delicious !!!I tried to visit the Park location and was greeted with hostility and attitude from the hostess over my taking/ wanting to use a Sanitize Wipe that was right by me as I waited to be seated."Those aren't for your hands "....and"Where you gonna use that At"? (with her hand on her hip was the attitude and question I was asked)I decided to leave and come to this Location and Never Going Anywhere but Here. Thanks for prompt and Kind Service ...Food was Amazing“
“Here from out of town, was looking for a place near my hotel for a good sandwich. Had the turkey on honey wheat berry bread- so delicious, lots of fresh crispy vegetables. I'd never had shredded carrots on a sandwich, but they were delicious and added color and texture. Will be back before I go home!“
“Wonderful little cafe on main street. Great open space, solid food, it's definitely a treat from some of the craziness in downtown.I've been going here on and off for awhile but haven't been back in awhile as I've moved. The manager (I assumed) was fairly rude and did not add to the otherwise welcoming atmosphere.Instance 1) When I asked for the WiFi, she was very short with me and I didn't even understand what she was saying because she spoke so fast (for context, the cafe wasn't particularly busy at this time and my ability to hear and comprehend things are pretty solid). No problem, just used my hot spot because she made me feel like a nuisance and I didn't want to interact with her again.Instance 2) I was sitting outside, staying after open (never came here much on the weekdays and didn't think they closed at 2 pm, simple misunderstanding). The manager came out while I was in a virtual meeting and took the number I was given earlier for my order. Again, since I didn't know they had closed I assumed she was just collecting it. She came out about a minute later and very rudely told me to leave, clapping her hands and raising her voice. Apparently, when she initially came out she had told me that it's time to go. I've worked in the service industry for 5 years, I know it's annoying when people stay after close, but her reaction was just unnecessary and discourteous as I obviously had not heard her the first time (was in a meeting, headphones in). I am always happy to vacate and certainly respect closing times, again, just a little mix-up that didn't need to be escalated.I'm not one to think everyone in the service industry should "act like they want to be here", I know wages are low, customers can be rude, we're in hard times economically. But it costs nothing to be kind and gracious. Instead of acting in that way, she just went straight to being impolite and uncivil.“
“We were in Memphis for a little wedding anniversary getaway and saw this place was close to where we were staying. So we decided before going back home to Missouri we needed to try it out, and let me tell you we were anything but disappointed. We were greeted and sat immediately by a very nice hostess. Our server Chris greeted us shortly after and was an absolute delight. Our food came out timely and was absolutely delicious. If we should find ourselves in Memphis again we will definitely be returning.“
“Visited the coffee shop in the Cooper Young area and it was great. The coffee and pastries were excellent and the service was nice. The cafe interior is an eclectic mix of old and new and there was plenty of space. I got a lavender mocha and a scone and both were great. I look forward to visiting again when I am back in the area.“
“Wow, this food is delicious! I stopped in to purchase a coconut cake, which is the best you will ever try. While here around lunch , I ate a chicken salad sandwich on croissant and "chicken pot pie" soup at the cafe. Both are wonderful and the server genuinely accommodating. No, I don't own stock here nor am I an owner. This lunch is simply a home run.“
“The shop provides a relaxing environment, and the food is amazing. The build-a-biscuit was light and fluffy. It melts in your mouth. I enjoy a strong brew and the Iced Oji did not disappoint. It is a smooth, balanced blend with a low acidity level. It provides the boost you need to complete your everyday tasks. Will and Madison are very welcoming and engaging. We will be returning.“
“We had the amazing pleasure of having Journey, Azelyn, and Kai as our baristas. They were kind, funny, and just all around amazing. They gave awesome suggestions. The atmosphere is perfect: colorful, cozy, and comfortable. I won’t bore yall with pictures of me and my husband in the mustard color chairs, but this is definitely my favorite coffee shop in Memphis.Kid-friendliness: My kids had such a good time. They offered us non-espresso versions of the frappes and chocolate milk.“
