“How is this place not constantly busy??? I've been to this place twice and been blown away both times. First time I had a dry rubbed barbecue chicken, and holy crap, that may have been the best barbecue chicken I've ever had in my entire life. I would bet on it in competition against literally any of the Memphis barbecue joints. Second visit, I got the Memphis Dawg and fries. The house seasoning that they put on their fries is the best I've ever tasted, and the Memphis Dawg combines a perfectly cooked hot dog with cheddar, delicious pulled pork, and amazing barbecue sauce. And all of this is before you get to the Big Dawg himself, Ty, who looks fairly intimidating but is genuinely one of the nicest human beings I've ever met. Definitely coming here again.“
“I had been a regular at Big Dawgs over the years when visiting Memphis on business. Little did I know when I visited and the restaurant was turned upside-down - NOT in a bad way, but totally different then may previous visits. It has really changed, and so much more organized then before - I enjoyed the food before, but now it is so much better. I can't wait until I get to go back next time and get to stop in again. It will be interesting to see if it stays and good as it is now as time goes by.“
“From the time you walk in… the atmosphere is one that impresses you with “ something good is going to happen “. The employees are enthusiastic, proud, even liking their job, at a hamburger joint ..?!?:;£%<>? . Not in my lifetime .At the midtown Five Guys , this exactly what I found .Plus , a hamburger with NO FILLERS . I grew up in the Midwest where fillers in the hamburger meat put you out of business.French fries where the farm they picked the potatoes are on the potato’s sacks that are stacked up in plain view .That’s not all , fast food chain , to increase profit use “ fake potatoes “.I’ve traveled to 48 states , 14 countries during my tour days .I’ve never seen people cutting raw potatoes and ten put them in “ fresh oil “ , drain them and salted to perfection.Chicago undoubtedly has been home to the best hamburgers and deep dish pizza .You’d have to do to Chicago to get their hamburgers .Not anymore . I can go 5 blocks away and get the best burger I’ve ever had….. BUT, what makes this midtown Memphis Five Guys so special are the people who can’t wait to see their customers take their first bite into a hamburger that the team just made . These team members are what puts the “ finishing “ touches on a unique experience…. At a simple hamburger joint .Gotta go to midtown Five Guys .I only hope the owners know how integrated the team members are here , and pay them accordingly.“
“I visited this location on 04/03/24 between 5-6pm and they were extremely busy. When I say, the staff here operate as a well oiled machine all while still being kind and professional.
