The staff was very nice and friendly. We were greeted at the door and walked to our seats. Our waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable about the dishes; very patient. Always made sure we were doing ok and our glasses were filled. I came in wanting shrimp and grits. The dish is different from other shrimp and grits that I've had in the past. It was very fulfilling and very tasty. Definitely a must have.
Oh my! The shrimp & grits - not sure what they put in the sauce and they won’t tell, but it’s decadent. The catfish was fried perfectly and had plenty of crawfish on top but I would ask to substitute the sauce for the shrimp and grits sauce next time. I enjoyed the grilled okra, the husband didn’t agree (but he’s partial to fried okra, so consider the source). Our server, Robert, was wonderful and just topped off the experience.
We held my 40th birthday party dinner here in May. The staff was very accommodating to our party even though they had overbooked the private room we reserved. The food and drinks were great, but I could have eaten more than one piece of fish. The atmosphere and service was great! Dinner was pricey, but you only turn 40 once!
