Common Ground Coffee Bar Oxford, MS

Great coffee maybe the best in Oxford but if you are going and want to sit and do some work then you may want to try somewhere else. Love the green seats but make the tables smaller and that bar takes up a ton of room! There was no where for a lot of people including me to sit and people were leaving before they got to the best part!

Disappointing Espresso Experience Despite Friendly Atmosphere

If you’re accustomed to properly made espresso drinks—cortados, cappuccinos, and lattes crafted with care and precision—Common Grounds may not meet your expectations. I ordered a traditional cappuccino, specifically requesting it dry (less milk, more foam), but what I received was a 16-ounce cup of scalding milk with no foam in sight. A proper cappuccino typically consists of 1-2 shots of espresso, 2-4 ounces of steamed milk, and a thick layer of milk foam. Unfortunately, this drink missed the mark entirely and took 20 minutes just to cool down.

That said, the staff was incredibly kind, and the space itself is clean and inviting. It’s a pleasant environment, but if you’re looking for an authentic espresso experience, you might want to explore other options.

Good coffee great place to hang and read or study

My daughter surprises me with different specialty drinks from Common Ground Coffee Bar. They are all delicious!

Wonderful food, comfortable sitting, you might leave smelling like bacon tho. Not enough ventilation.

I get a salted Carmel cold brew when I go, and it's delicious.

Great atmosphere and excellent service. very comfortable place to meet, read, or study, or relax.

Common Ground is local and has very good coffee and quality young servers. There is a reason they have a strong college business with a comfortable atmosphere. They also go the extra mile to provide a diverse selection of food and drink for people that prefer menu items beyond coffee.

They are always shorthanded. There is a line right now about 10 people deep. Two college kids and the owner working. Most focus is on drive-through at the expense of those waiting 10 minutes in line in the store. How about saying "I will be right with you" as the staff run by 5 times without making eye contact. It's basic customer service....how can they not know that ? It's annoying.

This was my first time visiting CGCB. The service was excellent! Employees provided me with honest opinions on breakfast choices but I did not feel they were trying to persuade me to anything specific. I would have liked more seasoning on my sandwich but overall it was good!
I rarely order out coffee, so I don't understand much of the 'lingo'; however, the employees were extremely helpful in asking what I do like and providing recommendations.

Love it here!! Ladies are so nice. The sweets are so delicious 😋 my favorite is the coffee cake and pumpkin chocolate chip. There's nothing here that I don't like lol.

Vegetarian options: Definitely some vegetarian options.

Dietary restrictions: If you're allergic to nuts or dairy I would stick to tea or fruit smoothie.

Parking: Ordinary parking spaces. Regular and a couple handicap spots.

Wheelchair accessibility: Close to the door and plenty of room to get in and table setup is easy for wheelchairs.
