Beautiful restaurant, awesome food, and friendly staff. Waits can be long, but for good reason. The sushi I've had here is among the best I've eaten, and their staff are very patient and helpful. Cocktail menu is diverse and tasteful and their wings are well-known in oxford. Pricey, but worth it.

I want to start by saying I’ve always loved Jinsei and have eaten here plenty of times. Never a terrible experience until tonight. We could not get our waitress to come to our table for anything. Waited at least 30 minutes between drinks and she didn’t write down part of our dinner order so it did not arrive and she did not apologize when she realized what happened. My tempura rice cake with my tuna dish was also burnt on the bottom. Very disappointing for what is usually a good restaurant.

Surprised to find sushi of this level of sophistication and quality in Oxford Mississippi. Simple, elegant decor with an expansive trellised outdoor deck which offers more of a sports bar vibe. Service was also excellent.

Enjoyed everything we ordered. No wait as we were willing to sit at the bar (would have been a wait for a party larger than 2). There were big tvs on the wall playing sports (on mute) which is a pro for some and a con for others. Would happily come back to try the veggie items we skipped.
Vegetarian options: Relatively standard for a Japanese restaurant - some veggie rolls, some appetizers that happen to be vegetarian. Wouldn't say the options are too extensive but the ones that are there are tasty.

Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious. The tempura green beans, steamed buns, and nikko roll was cooked to perfection. The cocktails were also amazing. I recommend getting the matcha madness drink. This is honestly one of the best sushi spots in Oxford and I’ll definitely be back. 10/10 recommend.

The best Sushi in Mississippi. This place is always packed and for good reason. It is top quality! Great drink menus and impressive appetizers like Tempura Green beans, the best onion rings on the planet, and Grilled shishito peppers. If you want something truly unique get the River Rock Kobe which you cook yourself on a hot stone right at your table.I only wish they were open for lunch and allowed reservations for dinner since the place is always busy and has a wait most nights.

The food sizes and portions are tremendously different on take out than what you get when you dine in.The wings were small and the rolls were small compared to what you get when you dine in. The rolls were missing some ingredients also.While this experience wasn’t great I’ve always had great timesDining in and will remain a customer and just chose to dine in instead of to go.Just wish what you got in dining in that you got on to go

Great layout with indoor and outdoor seating. Fun lively atmosphere. Everyone was happy to be there. We had a drink at the bar while we waited, and were seated very quickly. The big eye tuna nachos are huge, definitely can serve 4 if you have it as an appetizer. House made chips, a good serving of tuna and some bomb sauce, it was delicious. I also loved the Niko roll. I want to go back to try more items on the menu. It's a great selection. Service was excellent.
Parking: Parking lot is shared with other businesses in the strip mall but all were closed and there is plenty of parking.
Y'all gotta get that poor bartender outside some help! I owned a restaurant that was about the size of that outside, downstairs area, and I had three waitresses and no bar!
