The best Sushi in Mississippi. This place is always packed and for good reason. It is top quality! Great drink menus and impressive appetizers like Tempura Green beans, the best onion rings on the planet, and Grilled shishito peppers. If you want something truly unique get the River Rock Kobe which you cook yourself on a hot stone right at your table.I only wish they were open for lunch and allowed reservations for dinner since the place is always busy and has a wait most nights.

The food sizes and portions are tremendously different on take out than what you get when you dine in.The wings were small and the rolls were small compared to what you get when you dine in. The rolls were missing some ingredients also.While this experience wasn’t great I’ve always had great timesDining in and will remain a customer and just chose to dine in instead of to go.Just wish what you got in dining in that you got on to go

Great layout with indoor and outdoor seating. Fun lively atmosphere. Everyone was happy to be there. We had a drink at the bar while we waited, and were seated very quickly. The big eye tuna nachos are huge, definitely can serve 4 if you have it as an appetizer. House made chips, a good serving of tuna and some bomb sauce, it was delicious. I also loved the Niko roll. I want to go back to try more items on the menu. It's a great selection. Service was excellent.Parking: Parking lot is shared with other businesses in the strip mall but all were closed and there is plenty of parking.

Y'all gotta get that poor bartender outside some help! I owned a restaurant that was about the size of that outside, downstairs area, and I had three waitresses and no bar!
I’d heard lots about this place and I was thoroughly impressed. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the ambiance was delightful. I highly recommend it for a fantastic dining experience.Parking: Not too tough to park, but this parking lot shares multiple restaurants.
My favorite sushi place of all time. Went to Ole Miss for undergrad, and was religiously here every single week. Now, since I graduated, my bf and I come every year for our anniversary. This year we started out with the tempura green beans. They are a MUST. Crispy and Fresh. We got the Lobster Roll, Spider Roll, and Crab Nigiri for sushi. We finished out with the River Rock Kobe Beef and Tebaski Wings. I also enjoyed an Amaretto Sour, but it was on the sweet side. My boyfriend swears by the Kirin. The service is always great, and the atmosphere is rustle and bustle. We are NEVER disappointed by this place, and thats why we come back every year.

Great food and service ..bar first come first serve ,get there at 4:30 to get in line , to be seated or get your name in .party of 6 or more split up or you will be waiting 3 hours if you were not in line earlier than 5 The cattle call system has to be better managed ,that is my only complaint ..
The hostess was EXTREMELY RUDE. Girl forgot to hang up the phone before she told her coworker how stupid we were for asking about wait time when the restaurant doesn't even take reservations. This was the one year anniversary dinner of my cousins death, who's favorite restaurant was Jinsei. I am extremely disappointed in the restaurant and will be taking my business elsewhere. Might cry myself to sleep tonight.

Cannot understand why this restaurant is rated this low. Have eaten at several of the restaurants rated higher and definitely Jinsei is head and shoulders above most. Have traveled to over 30 countries and finding a good dining experience in MS is not easy. Jinsei will definitely be one of my regulars.

Great service and food. There is something wrong with the hot sake don’t order it. I had some sake here on 6/29/23 and it was saltier than their soy sauce. It was so bad that I am giving a 2 star review because it was that bad. 5/5 for food 5/5 for atmosphere. So imagine how bad the sake has to be to leave 2 stars. Just don’t order

Better get here early if you want a seat! The food is always great, the customer service is wonderful, and the atmosphere is magical. Best sushi place in Oxford! We always try to bring people from out of town here because we love it so much.
