Mesquite Chop House isn't right on the Square so I don't remember it all of the time, but it's only a short walking distance, and a welcome relief from the masses of people if you want a quieter, more intimate dinner setting. I typically get a wedge salad and then alternate between the bison tenderloins or the elk medallions. Both are fantastic and I've never been disappointed with the way they have been cooked and prepared. You can't go wrong with a meal from Mesquite!

We went for brunch - the french toast was fantastic! And bottomless mimosas!

Have you ever been at a restaurant and you feel like your dining experience will be subpar before you sit down? Well that's how I felt walking into this restaurant. The hostess and the waitress saved the day with how receptive they were to incorrect orders but other than that... it was a waste. My vegetarian friends had random pieces of meat on their plate, my friend received medium rare sausage, food was cold and incorrect, and overall... it was all bad, and honestly I may never come back again.

I think just for the price he expect a little more. And pre-coronavirus they used to cram you in there like you were sardines. That’s the most enjoyable of experiences.

My friends have lived in Oxford for years and have always eaten brunch at Mesquite. Yesterday was the worst experience we have ever had there, and we will not be returning. The manager was condescending and snappy at our table because our food was prepared incorrectly (2 of us received food we did not even order). We also had a friend eating with us who has a severe shellfish allergy, and this was seemingly ignored. The food was cold and two of us got sick. However, our waiter Zack was wonderful and saved the lack of management at this restaurant.

This place was awesome. It's a very Romantic spot, because of the low lighting and candle on the table. Me and my Husband went for his birthday, so we spent a little more than usual. If you want to enjoy yourself here bring around $150 to $200 dollars because the meals we got was $33 and $38 plus our glass of wine. Our meal was $109.00, because we both got a glass of wine. The food was very good. I really enjoyed the experience there. I do recommend this place if you just want to dress up and eat good food you want regret it.

Sunday and no bottomless mimosas or Bloody Marys. Food was quick and service was good, but not very flavorful. We had to season everything to step it up from bland. Clean and not very crowded but seemed pricing for the overall quality of the food.

Food was delicious!! Our server was great! However, she had to leave early, and other servers didn't seem to want to attend to us.

In Oxford and ESPECIALLY during football game day weekends, restaurants that take reservations are nearly a MUST if you need to plan multiple families meeting together. This restaurant does this AND with a cool flair on the old "steakhouse"-idea but with much more "personality" to both the menu and the ambience! They do have a nice bar as well as outdoor seating. There are options for booths and tables. They do have a nice wine menu. I have done brunch (which opens at 10:30am on Sundays -- nice!) and dinner on busy weekends. They planned for serving staff accordingly and the portions are LARGE! I have used multiple times AND will again.
