I am from out of town and needed some sandwiches and salad for a bridal party day of wedding. The ordering was very easy and the staff helpful and efficient. When we arrived for pick up the manager and staff helped with carrying it to our car, and made sure everything was as it should be. The sandwiches were very nice and the presentation was lovely. I would highly recommend this location.

I got the barbecue pizza and it was done with care for sure! I had gotten a pizza here about a year ago, and it wasn’t prepared with care. It makes a huge difference when the cook actually cares about making your food as good as it can be! So thanks Newk’s for monitoring the cooks and making sure you keep good employees who care about the food!!

I'm extremely upset how they start cutting the Simon for the salad. My half a sandwich was not in the bag and when I bought it to the manager the young girl wouldn't even look up to say I'm sorry or to explain anything to me. I left there and went to University Avenue the manager Terry was so nice and apologize for the Jackson store maybe he needs to come work on this side to teach them how to respect and value customer service

Please turn on some heat! Stopped for a quick a bite tonight and EVERY customer seated and eating had their coats on. We sat as far as we could from the doors but that was difficult to do because half of the unoccupied tables were full of dirty trays. Everyone has been telling me how Newks has been going downhill lately. I beleive it. 7:15 in a Friday night and it was desserted. Us and maybe 6 other people. They need to do better!

I ordered a salad through bitesquad, requested it already be tossed in the dressing. I barely got through the salad because there were two broken pieces if jagged white plastic IN my salad. Had to throw it away. Won't be eating here again.
I was in town for work and wanted to have dinner somewhere I’d never been so I went to Newk’s. I had a Caesar Salad with grilled chicken. It was really good. I also had a slice of their homemade strawberry cake, and it was wonderful!

Sandwiches were "mid" at best. Service was the best we've had in Oxford though all weekend. We needed some last minute game day sandwiches. It's very "franchise" food, not much love behind the preparation, but the service was really helpful and friendly and fast.

My Newks Eatery Experience on Jackson Ave. in Oxford, MS. Let me just start with i love the food at Newks and have been eating there for the last 15 years, but the last few times at this location have not been positive especially yesterday. My family of four walked into Newks Eatery at around 5:20pm on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 on Jackson Ave. in Oxford, MS. The restaurant was not busy, but there were leftover plates/food/trash on all the tables not being used. As we were in line we were like surely someone will clean tables quickly as it looked like a mess in the restaurant (should of took that first sign). We proceeded to order and get the receipt by 5:29pm. We went to find a table, nothing had been cleaned so I looked for the cleanest of the dirty tables. I physically moved the plates to another table. I kindly asked someone of the several working to please clean our table. They proceeded to tell me they didn't have rags at the time as the dishwasher just ran and wont be done until 6pm. I said well surely you have something to wipe down the table and finally we did get the table cleaned. So, I was like okay well lets just sit down to this nice cup of fresh brewed sweet tea. Man, was I wrong the great sweet tea you look forward to was not sweet at all smh. I kindly let them know as well as others, but they said sorry they made it this morning, nothing else we can do. So, I went ahead and got something else to drink and we all wanted to get some snacks at the condiment table, but they were practically empty. They had no sense of urgency to clean tables, make sweet tea, or refill condiments like shredded cheese, croutons, etc. I decided to take a deep breath and just wanted to look forward to my Newks "Q" pizza. Finally, my family's order arrived about 30 minutes later, but guess who never got to eat - they never brought my pizza and never asked if we got everything etc. I finally walked up to the register five minutes after watching my family eat to get a refund on my pizza. They gave me the refund on my pizza while not even apologizing for forgetting my specific order. Please be careful going to the Newks on Jackson Avenue in Oxford.

Have eaten at this Newks several times and been pleased. I understand there's limited staff, but there was not ONE clean table in the entire place. Two-three staff members were gathered at a back table staring at their phones while the place is filthy. Our salads were horrible. Wilted lettuce, wasn't prepared correctly. We got up and left without eating.
