This is a decent average quality spot that certainly has some fast food vibes. They have an interesting hybrid service system here where you stand in line to order at the counter then they bring your food to you at your table. They have a generous selection of items here so you should be able to find items that would please most people. I've tried this spot a couple of times but it really hasn't motivated me to want to make a return visit as nothing was really great...
Driving back from FL so we stopped in. The service was ok. Nothing outstanding. The rotel and chips was very good. I had the veggie wrap; it was underwhelming and came with a bag of chips. My husband had a po boy and throughly enjoyed it. His food 5, mine 1. They do play great music. The bathrooms are old but fairly clean. On site parking. The iced tea was the highlight of my experience.
We had been told emphatically that we MUST go to Oby’s while in Oxford. It did not disappoint. We decided to get the catfish platter and seafood gumbo then share. The gumbo was thick and well seasoned without being salty. The catfish strips were fried perfectly with a crispy crust but tender inside. They waffle fries were done to perfection and the hush puppy also got two thumbs up. Service was also friendly and attentive. It’s not a fancy place, yet a must do in Oxford.
