This restaurant has gone downhill after it was sold by the original owners. You used to be treated like family, but now you are just treated like an outsider. SMH

Ordered the large fillet mignon and a baked potato everything was cooked perfectly, and the steak was tender.
Note; meals are served on a hot plate, which means the steak will continue to cook. You may want to order your steak a little undercooked so that it will finish at your desired temperature. My steak started out, medium rare and moved to a medium well by the time I finished it.

Very good customer service. Extremely helpful and attentive. Good atmosphere - several televisions with sports- games playing. A nice salad bar. Full menu can be found on-line. Check out the prices- a little high. Kids menu. Appetizers. Steaks. Burgers. Catfish. Chicken. Desserts. Very large portions. The sirloin steak was very flavorful and cooked as ordered. The turnip greens were tasty- had a smokey flavor. The creamed potatoes appear like instant potatoe flakes and very bland. The Texas toast was very plain and not really toasted. The catfish was very good. The hush puppies were good and had chopped onions and jalapenos. The baked potato was good - fluffy inside- you can get it loaded. Fried okra was nice and crispy.

Cheese & smoked sausage appetizer was great, small ribeye was more than enough & tasted good, was just a lil tougher than used to; baked potato was nice and soft and I loved that they didn’t use salt on the pealing of the potato because I love to eat the skin & I can’t have a lot of salt; my husbands grilled shrimp & fried fish were average; Mac & cheese was good; tea was good; service was great & everyone was very nice! Keep up the great work! The atmosphere was great too!

They say this is the oldest restaurant in Oxford since 1972. We took my dad there for his birthday last week - he had last ate there in the 1980s! That was far too long and he wanted their crab cakes but they unfortunately don’t make them anymore. Everything else we had was huge portions and delicious though. From the steak, catfish, huge baked potatoes, filling salad bar, jalapeño hushpuppies- I can’t wait to take him there again. They have some homemade cakes too like caramel, coconut and German chocolate.

Paid $46 for a steak and over half of it was fat! The other half was meat and it did not even taste good

Our server Lisa was great. Food is always spot on.
We started out with the sausage and cheese platter. For our entrées, we ordered the small filet. That came with a salad and baked potato. It’s a self-serve salad bar with plenty of toppings and the ranch is delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly. The sweet tea was just right. We had a great experience and will be back.
The Sizzler has been up and down through different ownership through the last couple of decades, but it’s been updated lately and is drawing back old friends and new customers. The catfish dishes are as good as ever with nice-sized and tasty hush puppies, and the chicken dishes are pretty standard. The fix-yourself salad bar is adequate, but the apps we tried were very good and made the wait for our entrees to go by quickly. They have nice ribeyes, a good filet and a strip, but not as many choices as we seemed to recall from the past. The service, as always, was great. Beef prices are higher and steak prices are even higher. We used up a hundred dollar bill and a bit more on two steak dinners, but we did take home a few bites for the pups. Overall, it’s your basic country fish/steakhouse with prices a bit more than expected. Brown bagging is an option for those wishing spirits with your meal, and while we didn’t partake, the desserts looked divine.
Some of the better catfish I have had in the area.
Food was delicious and service was great. Very friendly. I got the catfish and it was the best I've had. Husband got the small ribeye and it was huge. Both kids got a a kids meal and both said it was great also. Definitely a new place for us to eat at.
