They have a wonderfully complex raw oyster menu.
Was terrific. Especially appreciated yall bringing desserts with bday candles. Thanks so much for making birthday dinner special.
Must-stop for a good dinner in Oxford. Oyesters, fried chicken and fish are all winners!

Great happy hour vibes and place to catch up over drinks. Staff is very nice and helpful!
We enjoyed Snackbar so much for a celebratory birthday dinner. The food was delicious and our service was great!! We always enjoy Snackbar!!
Once again, Snackbar was wonderful. I live in Oxford and have numerous choices, but Snackbar always delivers great food, great service, and wonderful ambiance — plus lots of parking (IYKYK) .
If you are lucky enough to go on a Tuesday night order the fried chicken, it is up there with Thomas Kellers Ad Hoc fried chicken. Service was impeccable. A totally delicious & memorable dinner!
Snackbar was our favorite restaurant when we were students, and today it still holds up as our favorite restaurant in Oxford. The vibe is great, everything we ordered was on point, and our server Johnny was fantastic. He really made the evening special with his recommendations and background on some of the menu items. We can't want to come back.

Went on a Thursday specifically for their new weeknight specials only to be sat late after having a reservation, and upon trying to order the special was told that they were sold out. The server was lovely and apologized, explaining that they had just started these nightly specials and are still trying to gauge how much to make. Dish was a pasta one and it was the only reason why we went there in the first place, so it was highly disappointing.
Upon arrival we were seated at the table 18” from the kitchen door. Understandable, had the restaurant been more than half full, but with a dozen open tables, it felt awkward. It took an hour to get our food. Appetizers were small and poorly presented. We ordered fries and the whipped ricotta dip. Fries were tasty but very small portion. Whipped ricotta was flavorless and came with a brick of burned bread... about 3 minutes post delivery waitress shows up with a steak knife to cut the brick with. Ordered a salad, sweet potato and apples, which sounded interesting... it was a wedge of ridichio, surrounded by 1” chunks of raw Granny Smith apples and cooked sweet potatoes. No dressing that we could recognize, it was odd. The scallops were well cooked, but then floated across a puddle of spicy bbq sauce... odd. We ordered a small portion of marinated crab claws, and it was truly tiny. 6 crab claws barely took up half a small ramekin. They were tasty, and obviously fresh, but tiny. Overall our server seemed irritated with the world.. we were excited to try a new restaurant in tien, and especially one related to city grocery. but we will not be back.
A long time favorite spot that is struggling to consistently produce quality food. While always accommodating when the wrong dishes are served or food is cold, flavor profiles and execution continue to be an inconsistent.
Very disappointing. We are local residents. It seems with Vish leaving so too did the high standards of preparation and taste. Appetizers included the French onion soup, which was excellent, but the Tarte Tartin was not to standard. The onion was tough and tasteless; the pastry was soggy and there was no goat cheese. Chicken thighs were prepared well and tender but the *slaw* in top was tasteless, and they used the core of the cabbage which was inedible. The long grain rice was a tasteless clumpy mess, and the mixed vegetable bed was simply tasteless. The crab cakes were tasty, but were mushy, not lump. The chocolate Chess Pie was dry and crusty. Next time we will just go to the Oyster Bar and drink before going to some other place in town with better food.

Had to wait on drink order, went through a glass of water that the hostess had served us - I believe there was a mix up on who had the table. Ordered light fairs, waiter wasn't very knowledgeable about menu ordered crab claws and they weren't cooked (they are listed under raw menu) but asked waiter and he wasn't sure. Overall not my best experience and this use to be my favorite place.
