One of my favorite places to eat wings. Always fresh and with a wide variety of sauces. Always polite and quick service. I usually get fries and they are slightly battered and always hot.One note is sauces can vary by heat a slight amount so you might want to check. Their General Tso's sauce, my favorite, can vary from sweet with just a hint of heat, to sweet with a fair amount of heat. But they have a wide variety of sauces, many with no heat at all. So all palates can be satisfied.

My son ordered a 48 pc 1/2 lemon pepper 1/2 honey gold so the wrong flavor was onthe lemon pepper. when it was brought to the servers attention they took the order back and what was then received was wet. It was so wet that he had to put a paper towel at the bottom to collect the water. It was about 6:20 pm on 12/30./23. This is completely unacceptable and I feel as though since he was young he did not receive the appropriate service. Southern Coop this is unacceptable!!! What did yall do wash off the chicken and re-season? Yuck very disappointing

One of my favorite chicken places. The tenders are large, delicious, and very tender. You may not need as many tenders if you are used to Chick-Fil-a, Zaxby's, or Slim chickens tenders. The plain tenders have a slight kick to them.I prefer them tossed in their hot sauce. It has a very nice level of heat and it is not over the top. It is definitely hotter then most chicken places. The fries are good and have a light seasoning on them. The Mottzarella sticks are good and the portion is enough for 3-4 people.The staff is nice and the owner is very friendly. I met her on my last visit. She and her husband seem to really care about their customers. Locally owned and definitely worth trying.
Menu should include sauces from hottest to mildest. I need to know how spicy I'm ordering! Ranch was to thick once we got home, but was good with a few drops if milk.

We went here due to the Google rating of 4.7. While we liked it I wouldn't say it was that over the top amazing... it's good though. The fries were super fresh with a nice seasoning and lightly cooked. The chicken had many different sauce options... it was kind of nuts how many options there were. We got 16 boneless wings with the Jamaican and Honey Gold sauces. The Honey Gold was awesome but the Jamaican was a bit too much... too seasoned. Overall this is nice place for lunch.

I was in the N. Lamar area on Saturday, and decided to go to Southern Coop after finding that a nearby establishment had closed early for the day.This was my second visit there, and everything hit the spot: casual ambience, super friendly staff, and overwhelming chicken possibilities.I ended up ordering the Asian chicken sandwich (with Tiger sauce!), along with a side of okra. Very tasty, and I will definitely come back soon.
