They let me in and I went out for a few minutes and went to go back in and they refused to scan my id and wouldn’t let me in very disappointed…

My wife and I went to watch football and have a drink (Our first mistake). The bar smelled of chicken and dumpster juice. The owner was sitting at a table near the door and didn’t seem to mind the smell. There were nats everywhere! The $10 “special” drink tasted like a lot of lemon juice, and they were out of the correct ingredients needed to make the drink so they subbed it for club soda. 10 out of 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!

My international friends visited Summit and had an unsettling experience. Near closing time, one of our friends, was assaulted when he was just trying to just retrieve his jacket. As far they remember it was the 20-year old bartender who came flying off from over the table when my friend was already at the door downstairs to hit him. As men of color, this aggressive behavior felt particularly unjust. Physical violence in any form is unacceptable in a service establishment. This incident has left us deeply disappointed and concerned. I wonder if he would kick if my friend were American. ?

I went to this bar last night (Friday Nov. 10) with my friends and one of my friends was assaulted. The guy who assaulted my friend was a 20 year old bartender wearing a Security labeled T-shirt in what was a clear racist behavior. I would not recommend people, especially the people of color, to visit this bar.

Amazing experience at the Summit Lodge Bar. I travelled all the way from Australia to this great small bar located in Oxford MS and was served by Jonah who is an amazing bartender. He has a expert knowledge on a variety of drinks and his reccomedations really made the night even better. I can't wait to go back to this bar soon.

Bartender at summit named josh, with black hair: assaulted one of my friends for breaking an apparent rule with no prior warning. The bartender thought it was appropriate to lay hands on a patron when that sort of thing should be handled by a bouncer, and someone should be given prior warning before being thrown on the ground violently. Get your staff under control summit.
I’m still trying to figure out how 3 glasses of wine cost me $40. And they acted like they didn’t have my friends credit card. We got it back though after arguing with the bartender that they didn’t give back.
