The cheddar bacon ranch burger an the texas burger were both cooked perfectly. Fries were crispy and everything was very fresh-tasting. Good value for the money and a nice spot to get away from the crowds and prices at the beach places and casinos.

The food was wonderful! The servers were really nice, karaoke on Friday night, and just really good food! Prices were… well, there were things on the menu for the thrifty and things for the bigger spenders. Overall, I was impressed.

Food is amazing. I love the outdoor seating and entertainment!

Went for the first time tonight and I’m just blown away at how delicious everything was! We had the smoked tuna dip, fried green beans, shrimp & grits, and ribeye meal and absolutely everything was amazing. I can’t believe I’ve lived in the area for so long and have yet to try Savory Roots until today! Will definitely become a regular favorite of ours

Tried this place since new ownership, we weren’t impressed. Although the menu is partially the same the quality of the food we have enjoyed numerous times was just not there. The shrimp and grits were the best on the coast with previous owners but now it tasted like I poured cream sauce on cornbread! Also too the cream sauce was very greasy and the shrimp were over cooked. The Redfish also too wasn’t up to par as well. I hope as time goes it gets better in the quality. The staff was very kind however.

Y'all! This is a family owned place with amazing food! The atmosphere was awesome as well as the service. It was nice, so I sat outside, and listened to music while I ate. Do yourselves a favor, and go check this place out ASAP!

Great space, flavors were great on the burgers but the burger patty was one of the worst we've had, hoping both mine and my husband's were a mistake. The fries were great just wish this place had a bar. Also thought it was interesting how their appetizers cost as much as a entree

The salads are so amazing that I haven’t tried anything else! Hands down the best around, and the service is phenomenal!!!

I want to take a moment to thank Mr Johnny and Ms Karen Buckley , JB ( chef) and Jennifer ( server) for making my daughter’s bridal luncheon exactly what she wanted!!!! The service was impeccable, the food was review quality and just the warmth that was given in making sure all the little details were taken care of for us… THANK YOU!!!! To the entire staff we are so grateful and enjoyed our afternoon so very much!!!!

Terrible experience at last Wednesday’s steak night. Owner is rude/disrespectful and does not listen to customer’s concerns. Would not recommend this place to any friends or family now that it is under new ownership. I used to love savory roots, I hate to see it go to crap. I will not support this business and had my husband or I gotten real bad sick from rotten food this story would go much different. Owner stated, “there is no way this food is rotten we just opened two weeks ago.” And then charged full price for steaks that were barely eaten and stated “I will fix price but just this once and never did.” We were never looking for a hand out as we rarely complain but if it smells rotten, tastes rotten and we both stated the same thing then it most likely is rotten. All I have to say is the owner is very lucky my husband is a nice man and he was the one who went inside to discuss this matter and not me because I AM NOT a nice person when you are blatantly disrespected. This business will not survive if this kind of behavior continues to persist. I don’t know many people that will tolerate it personally.
