The food was great here. I had the fried shrimp platter with potato salad, my friends had the crab legs, and the Cajun steak with a crab sauce! Definitely worth the trip.

Passing through town we asked recommendations of where to eat. A local said if you want to sit down and have some really good food you won't find any better than perrys. We stopped and everything was delicious. We had boiled shrimp, jalapeño hushpuppies, coleslaw, crab cake, grilled fish, grilled vegetables, fried okra, and the triple berry tart. Before leaving we were already discussing what we would order next time. Sweet tea was good and all the staff were friendly.
This was simply a convenient spot to meet 2 friends coming from different directions. A place to get out of the heat. Thought we'd eat while there and asked what's good. She described a dish as "fried green tomatoes with shrimp and a spicy sauce over the top". I thought I'm not real keen on fried green tomatoes as they're usually greasy but I'd never had this so I went for it. So did one friend. So glad we did. We almost had to stop talking it was so good! NOT greasy and the taste was fantastic. Definitely try it if you stop in. Oh, the 3rd friend was on a weird all meat diet... they accommodated without a thought and didn't charge extra like other places we've been. I like these folks and we'll most surely stop in next time we're near.
