Always great atmosphere! Packed usually but great food and people.

Good portions for a good price. My gyro was as good as any I’ve ever had.

We eat out a lot, scattered across Jackson, Madison, Ridgeland and surrounding areas. Aplos was on our list. We even stopped in for a scouting prior to taking our Mom out to eat there. Nice, bright, clean and new. The dinner experience: You pay first (and likely tip too). We chose to sit outside, it was evening and the temperature was comfortable inside and out. The outside fans we still on and sitting downwind of one was less than desirable (and unnecessary given the temperature). Upon seating, my Mom's chair was covered in water--that and the fans were enough to move so we did. A staff member wasn't thrilled with us moving, rude in fact. We asked for appetizers to be delivered first. The appetizers were delivered after our main dishes, one was forgotten/missed on top of that. The lighting outside was poor, we could barely see our plates. Our drinks were served and then we were summarily forgotten. Not one stop by to check on us and we had to flag someone down to get our check. The food was ok. Across the board (every dish), everything was too salty. Not just "I don't like salt too much" salty. I mean salty like "ingredient one" is salt salty. The prices were more than reasonable and the location is awesome -- incredible potential. However, I wouldn't go back.

Loved the chicken gyro. Food was served fast. Service was friendly. The atmosphere is cool. You can sit outside on the tables with umbrellas and watch the families play around with their kids.

Parking: The best spot for it was around and behind the fountain

We really enjoyed our ladies lunch at Aplos. We shared Hummus and each had a different item including the Gyro Plate(enough to share), Pita Mozz, Grilled Chicken Gyro, and a classic Gyro. The frozen flight was very good as you get to try each flavor they offer including the Pumpkin Spice one that had for fall (I’m the only one who liked it). Our only complaint was the food comes out as soon as you sit down but you have to wait 8-10 minutes on alcoholic drinks. You order at the counter and they give you a number and bring your food and drinks except for non-alcoholic drinks. You’re given a cup when you order and can get water, tea, soda etc. on the way to your table that you choose. The service is super fast with the food though. You almost can’t believe it. They were busy too!

I’ve been here twice now. Once we wandered in and the second was to convince me to agree to go somewhere after. That’s how good it is. My wife convinced me to drive an hour to another event by saying “we can eat at Aplos again” as an incentive.
I’ve got the chicken shawarma plate and the gyro plate. My favorite has been the chicken shawarma but that’s a narrow victory as they’re both delicious.
My main advice is to be sure you get the garlic butter stuff on your plate and dip whatever you like in it. I like to put a bit on my fork before scooping up some rice or meat.

Simple = one must order at the register & pay in advance. Self-seating with some interesting outside options. Our three plates were delivered at different intervals — making for an awkward business meal. This was our first visit; a very disorienting arrangement of front counter & the drink dispenser around a hidden corner.

Food was good, but the experience was spoiled by the unexpected confusion with respect to ordering, obtaining drinks, & finding a table.

A good idea gone bad. Watery salad and persistent flies. I want this place to be great and sometimes the food is good, but this location seems to be in disarray. The Highland Village location is better.

The food was amazing! I’d definitely order here again… HOWEVER, they forgot all utensils and napkins. This. Is. So. Frustrating. It is a SIMPLE item to check and should never be left out. All day long I wanted a salad and this one looked SO GOOD! I ate a few pieces with my fingers and dipped it in the dressing and it wasn’t the same. Sigh. If you’re craving something and pregnant like me, maybe go inside and order next time. The food is very, very good.
