It’s fine if you want mass produced fare. It gives the impression of fine dining based off the prices and ambiance. But the food didn’t seem that quality and wasn’t prepared great. There’s better places to go in Jackson for a nice meal.

We frequent Caet. It’s always been one of our favorite date spots. However, tonight was awful. First, I booked the reservation and it did not say anywhere that it was a limited menu for Valentines Day. I have been battling stage 4 colon cancer and and trying to eat as healthy as possible, so my heart was set on the brussel
Sprout salad. They didn’t have it, so I picked raw oysters which were extremely salty. Then, I asked if I could swap a side item from one dish to another to ensure I had a whole grain side. Both sides were on the menu, but the waiter said he couldn’t do that. I told him about my health situation and he did not care. In fact, he was very rude about it. I did find another choice that was lukewarm at best and the flavor was not good. The food the last few times we’ve been has not been great, but we’ve continued to go back because of the environment and the service. It was ruined tonight. I am not sure that we would return, nor would I recommend Caet to others.

Probably the best oysters and fish in the Jackson-Metro area. Worth it.

I’ve visited the Jackson area several times over the past few months, and this restaurant had been on my list for a whileOverall, it was a very solid fine-dining experience and one I’d happily keep in rotation!
The wood-grilled filet was cooked perfectly to a true medium, and the char-grilled oysters were generously portioned, well-executed, and full of flavor. The praline topping for the bread pudding was amazing!
While the food impressed, I was a bit underwhelmed by the cocktail options. The French 75 didn’t quite meet expectations for a restaurant of this caliber, especially given the extensive and higher-end wine list.
The ambiance is upscale and inviting, though the seating felt somewhat limited for solo diners, with most of the space centered around booths.
Overall, a great dining experience with strong food and atmosphere, definitely worth a visit when in Jackson!

Excellent food service and atmosphere. Great menu with the best appetizer around of Jackson Hot Catfish!
Good wine selection and drinks. Fresh oysters and creative specials.
Redfish Anna and that lemon butter sauce is too good.
Great steaks too.
This is the place when you want great food, a fancy environment and to leave satisfied.

This was our first time and it was lovely. I started with the Nice Pear (totally delish), the apps we went with - crawfish bruschetta, hot, catfish, pimento cheese toast, 6 honey drop oysters, and pork belly. My meal consisted of the jumbo scallops (tender and tasted like butter). I ended with the awakening (very sophisticated) and dessert was the strawberry and cream blondie(so tasty with the warm blondie and the cold ice cream). We didn’t care for the extra toasty pimento cheese and the manager was wonderful enough to comp it.

The best fish, crab cakes, and shrimp cocktail I’ve ever had locally; I will definitely be back! I loved the atmosphere, too!

CAET is one of those restaurants that just gets it right every time. The food is always prepared with care and flavor. Some of my favorites are the Jackson Hot Catfish, the Crab Claws, Crab Cakes, the Lobster & Veal, and definitely the CAET Burger. Every dish tastes intentional — seasoned well, cooked well, and plated beautifully.
The staff is always lovely, welcoming, and attentive. You can tell they take pride in the experience they create here. The energy is warm, the service is consistent, and the cocktails always hit just right.
If you’re looking for quality, atmosphere, and food made with love — this is it.
Signed, a Jacksonian who knows good food.

The crusted tuna was awesome. I took the suggestion of the wait staff on it and the food did not disappoint. The sauce that came with it was flavorful and a great pairing. Also a great selection of bourbons.
Great food, great service (Walter), great place! Will most definitely go back.
