Tico's Steakhouse

Worst filet I have ever had, all over the US. Also the “market price” ribeye was $120. The potatoes were mediocre. Will not be back. Can think of way better ways to spend $400.

This was my first visit and it happened to be my birthday. Hands down, the best steak I've ever had. Everything was amazing . I'm not sure why my reservation I completed through OT wasn't received; however, the restaurant was still able to accommodate me. Definitely would recommend!

Fantastic spot. Killer vibe and vintage old restaurant feel. Talented staff and wonderful food. Possibly the absolute best cheesecake I’ve ever had. The bar is fun on its own but this place is absolutely a staple and a gem of the Jackson area.

My wife and I recently visited Tico’s for a special date night. This was our second time dining there — our first visit was with a larger group, so we didn’t really get a fair feel for the restaurant.

This time, we were pleasantly surprised. The food and service were both very good. We each ordered a filet, cooked perfectly to our preferred temperatures and lightly seasoned, but flavorful. The sides were rich and well presented, adding nicely to the meal.

Tico’s has a relaxed, inviting atmosphere that works well for either a date night or dinner with another couple. The décor, especially the interesting wall photos, adds to the charm.

While I felt the prices were slightly on the high side for what we received, overall, Tico’s is a solid choice for a quality meal and good company.

We ordered:
Ribeye & Steak Fried;
Tender Bites, Stuffed Mushrooms (ok but will not order it again), & Creamed Spinach Au Gratin (mistake because it was too cheesy)
We were not about to get a receipt because we paid with cash (per the waitress).
The parking lot and building need some work/updates.

Get spot to wine and dine your lady. I had 12 oz ribeye steak my wife had the 8oz medallion and we had shareable au gratin potatoes and asparagus. The straks were cooked to perfection and it was probably the best augratin I've had. The service was great and the atmosphere sets the mood. The lighting could be turned up just a bit but all in all it was a great time.

Tico's is one of our all-time favorite restaurants. We have been going there for many years and have never had a bad experience. The food is always wonderful, and the service is top notch. It's pricey, but well worth it!

Totally worth the drive over from Monroe!

The restaurant was recommended by a colleague. The food and service were excellent. I would highly recommend dining at Tico's if you are in the area.

Was disappointed in the filet. Very tough and only ate about half the large filet and gave up. My wife's small filet was better but still a bit disappointing. My daughter loved the grilled chicken. It has been a while since we have gone to Tico's and we probably will not go back for a while as there are better steaks in our opinion at less expensive restaurants.

I took my granddaughter and two of her sorority friends there and everything we ordered was just terrible. I ordered a filet medium rare and it was completely grey and flavorless. One of her friends ordered the crab cakes and they were completely inedible. We left a table full of food and paid a141.00 for it. I’ve had great experiences in the Jackson, MS location.

Great old school steakhouse and enjoyed a new experience. First time and found it thru Open Table.

Excellent waitress, steak and sides were incredible, high price but worth it. very peaceful and quiet ambiance. Cheesecake wasn't the best but bread pudding is incredible.

Medium rare ribeye and Caesar salad are unmatched! Tico’s is our favorite place for date night! The staff are always friendly and the restaurant is always clean. Potatoes Au Gratin were good but chunks of potato instead of slices (interesting surprise)
