“Such a cute little shack. I think they are only opened on the weekends. The inside of the restaurant is super cute. It's is however small. The owners are sweet and you can tell they take pride in what they do. The beans are my favorite from here. They have smoked bbq chicken, pulled pork, beans, slaw and their sauce is the right amount of sweet. They do not have a fountain drink machine all their drinks are can drinks. The prices a very good as well. If you need some comfort food, you should definitely check them out.“

“Our first dining experience ay Simmer On Down was this passed Saturday. We had fried shrimp and steak. Both dishes were delicious and the steak was cooked perfectly! The salad bar was fresh with many choices! It's definitely worth the drive to Pine Grove/Dumas to eat there! We will be back!“
