Review for Coffee Central (a.k.a. My New Holy Ground)
Was driving down the street with a mild headache that was whispering to me, letting me know that if I didn’t get caffeine soon, it was about to evolve into a full-blown migraine. That’s when I saw it: Coffee Central.
Forget McDonald’s, Dunkin’, or Starbucks — those were all 5+ minutes down the road. This place was right here. So I dipped into the left lane and sped into the parking lot like Speedy Gonzales in a Lamborghini (even though I drive a beat-up 2017 Ford Escape... yes, a Ford... yes, I know, I’m an idiot).
I walked in, and immediately everyone looked rich, talked about stocks and spoke in complete sentences. Meanwhile, I was rocking some chucks, my spouse’s oversized shorts (which would be too big if I weren’t fat), and a Beetlejuice T-shirt. In November.
A gentleman with immaculate nails — seriously, I’m still jealous, those nails were flawless — greeted me at the counter. I asked for a large cold brew. He asked if I wanted 16oz or 20oz. I didn’t want to out myself as a full-blown caffeine junkie, so I said 16oz… but my soul whispered “20.”
He handed me the perfect cup of cold brew on ice. No sweetener, no cream, no fancy flavorings — just grown-up coffee. I pity the folks who take their coffee like a newborn takes their bottle of milk.
I ran back to the car, sat down, and took a sip.
Ten minutes later, the coffee was gone — and so was my headache.
Bold. Smooth. Not a hint of coal.
Coffee Central just gained a new caffeine addict whenever I’m in DeSoto County.

Truly one of my favorite coffee shops in the area. The staff is so personable and sweet. Whenever I ask for suggestions, they are always so enthusiastic to help out and tell me their favorite stuff!
Their spinach, tomato, and feta quiche is the best quiche I've ever had. I am also a huge avocado toast snob, and theirs is so good!
I will say, it can be a little expensive. I got a medium latte and a plate of avocado toast, and I paid around 22 dollars (not including tip, which totaled to 26, but that's on me lol). However, it's a great environment to study or bring a friend and everyone is SO NICE!

Really nice little coffee spot with a relaxed vibe and friendly atmosphere. The place feels cozy without being cramped, and it’s perfect for sitting down with a good drink, getting a bit of work done, or just catching up with friends. The coffee is smooth and well-made, and you can tell they take pride in what they serve. Definitely one of those small gems that makes you want to come back.

Great place! Love the coffee and the atmosphere. And the team is AMAZING.
This place is amazing! I had a plain bagel with cream cheese and a bagel with toasted to perfection. It was nice and soft and delicious. I also had a caramel macchiato or something like that and it was delicious as well.

The coffee was simply amazing. The balance of flavors and quality of the roast for the espresso was great! I would recommend to anyone who happens to be in the area.

I tried this place for the first time yesterday and had to go back again today. The Dubai chocolate matcha latte is a MUST! The creme brûlée latte was good as well. But what really impressed me was the young gentleman (Nick, I believe was his name)that took my order both yesterday and today remembered my name and greeted me. There have been places I’ve been a customer of for years and still have never bothered to ask me my name. There is plenty of room to sit and enjoy the ambiance, the pastries are delicious. 5 stars ⭐️’s! Anytime I come back to Southhaven for work, this will be my go to place.
Pretty Chill spot and good coffee

I have been coming here for years but just tried one of their new Spring Lattes and WHOA!! Talk about Spring in a Cup!! At the first sip all I could see were brightly blooming flowers and trees and I swear I could hear birds chirping!! I wouldn’t normally order this type of drink but I hope they never take it off the menu!!!

Look out Starbucks...I think these guys have you beat as far as quality and atmosphere are concerned. Had the best Expresso this morning! Worth returning to whenever I go to Southaven!

I am not lowering the stars on my review because this place really does have the best coffee and chai in the Memphis metro area.
Came here for the first time in two months and was shocked by the downturn in hygiene practices. My nose started running when we were in line - I guess as an allergic reaction to the grime? Gordon Ramsay would be disgusted. At least an inch of dust looked caked on the rafters. The lights over the station where they make the drinks were also very dusty. String lights across the entire store covered in cobwebs. Very concerning as this significantly lowers the air quality. The dust could fall on people and in their drinks and food with the slightest gust of wind. Someone needs to invest in a ladder and add this to their cleaning list on a weekly basis. You just can’t have this type of environment in which food is served to the public.

We met with a client here and it's our new favorite. Best chai. Best lattes. Their croissants are insanely good. Every person that works there is a pleasure to interact with, making recommendations and explaining menu items. These guys really know their coffee and have plenty to say about it. Our names/orders are remembered (shoutout to Nick!). They have a trash can right by the entrance. Napkins readily available. Comfy seating. What more could we ask for?? Oh yeah! They are closed on Sundays. That's our only complaint! Please be open on Sundays :)
We literally drive all the way from Collierville just to go here. We've even made detours on our way out of state just to have a Coffee Central coffee for the drive instead of a Starbucks. Very very thankful that our client recommended this place! We are definitely going to schedule more meetups at Coffee Central in the future!
