My family was looking forward to trying this place after so many people recommended it. After the hostess sitted us and brought us chips, we munched and waited... and waited... and waited. We finished the chips. No one had even come to the table to take our drink orders. There were six other tables occupied but no apparent servers. We gave them benefit of the doubt, maybe they were short staffed? After a half hour of no waiter my husband got up to use the restroom and saw three staff on the back wall on their phones.We left and don't plan to return. Despite really wanting Mexican cuisine, we went next door to Olive Garden, where we got drinks within three minutes and food within twenty. We joked that we still would have been waiting for our food at El Agave. I'm not certain it was a joke...

I enjoyed some simple cheese enchiladas tonight. I started off with the street corn, which was pretty good. However, $7 was a bit steep in my opinion for what little corn you get in a bowl. Sadly, corn must be hard to find these days since it’s expensive back in Dallas too. Go figure.The atmosphere was nothing special. The hostess took a bit of time to get me seated. It’s a little surprising no one helps, but just stands there watching. The guacamole bar lady just stood there a few feet while people were standing waiting to be seated. Some of the best restaurants are the ones where everyone works together as a team. The waiter could have shown a little more involvement. When I asked about certain items, he acted as if he had no clue. That’s why service was three stars. They lost a sale of a bowl of queso since he didn’t even try to sell me on a choice.Most likely I’ll be back, but not for any particular reason.

We were visiting from Oklahoma, found it almost impossible to find a place to eat that did not have over a one hour wait, on a whim I googled and found this place so we went and there was no wait at all, service was excellent! And the food was amazing and priced very reasonably! If we are ever in the area again we will definitely visit again!

Went last Sunday. We waited an hour for food. Our waiter walked past us numerous times and never checked on us or asked why we didn’t have food. I found our waiter st the hostess stand and asked where our food was because tables seated after us had started receiving their food. His response was “I don’t know, let me check.” He was gone at least 5 minutes and came back with the excuse “its Sunday, the ground beef is out. It’s the kitchens fault, not mine.” Not once in the hour we waited for our food was this communicated to us. Our food finally came and it was lukewarm at best. Would not recommend
