The food was amazing. I had the Ribeye with mash potatoes & sautéed asparagus. Our waitress was very attentive as well.
We were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary and sat in the bar area, as it was nice and sunny. We enjoyed the BOGO filets, which were cooked to perfection. We shared the (new) broccolini dish, which was delicious. Unfortunately we were too stuffed to enjoy a dessert. We will be back for a regular (non-celebratory) meal soon.
Highlight of meal was the bread they brought out first. Steaks were absolutely terrible - they were cooked to the right temp, but they must have used cheap cuts because they were not tender at all and they had no seasoning or flavor. They also plated the steaks on top of mashed potatoes so the potatoes were a bloody mess. Service was terrible;' waitress seemed new - she did seem to try but was very slow - after finishing it took almost 30 min to pay and when we asked her what the issue was and said we needed to leave she got an attitude. Place was pretty empty for a weekend- not surprised as this place is awful.
We had reservations for our anniversary for 730pm. We were seated for 30min and received only bread no order taken. I had to call the restaurant while seated to get someone over to the table. We were sent Zoey, this young lady turned the whole night around. Zoey is very professional and kind, she apologized for the staffs inattentiveness toward paying patrons. My wife explained how many years we had been celebrating yearly at Mesquite to feel special and experience a wonderful moment in time. Our previous experiences hadn't been like this and was disappointing. Zoey changed our minds about not changing our yearly celebration of our Marriage. Mesquite should elevate employees who have the talent and ability to enhance the image of the restaurant. Thank you Zoey.
We came in last minute for our anniversary. Started in the bar for a martini with bleu cheese stuffed olives, was told they did not have any/nor did they try to put a few together.? We decided to try their buy one get one filets on Tuesday night. They brought us to a table where we had to carry our drinks ourselves.? Steaks were great sides were Luke warm and had to send back lobster Mac and cheese to heat up. Server was struggling a little had to ask for name. Bottom line is you can put all the deals out online that you want. If the customer service is not great and you don't get the little wow factor, people are just not going to want to come back to spend money and spend money on a tip for lack luster service. And usually regardless, if you don't order dessert, anywhere usually brings a little something to the table to acknowledge your anniversary or birthday, etc. Now I know I don't have to try their Sunday brunch.
We hosted a birthday event at Sunday brunch and all agreed it would become a monthly date. They offer a table service menu or buffet. Most opted for the buffet, but the table service shrimp and grits looked fresh and amazing. Overall, the buffet offered an assortment and variety from traditional breakfast to lunch/dinner options. The only thing that could possibly make brunch better would be a few more gluten free options and bottomless mimosas.
Their steaks are the best I have EVER had!! I hope they keep it up! Cause I will keep coming back!!
Gives a dark steak house vide. Everything is separate. No entree comes with a side. You can easily spend over 100$ on two people. But food was good.
Food, service, and atmosphere as nice as it usually is. My wife and I really enjoy going there.
The whole experience was amazing..this was first time here and I'm definitely going to be back!!

The steak which is typically very good, was severely over salted. We were not asked how our meal was and it was the worst steak I have had from the location ever. I will say I have been 5 times over the last two months and normally it's been perfect food just this once didn't meet expectations.
The steaks were fantastic, cooked exactly as they should be. Our waitress was great. She was very personable and outgoing.
Even though it's a beautiful open restaurant on Friday night at 730pm over 70% of the tables are empty. Ordered the wild game appetizer when it was delivered to the table, I could not recognize which meat was which. When asking the server they had no clue. While ordering the entrées I asked for recommendations from the server and she expressed that she had not tried most of the food at the restaurant so she could not give me any advice. What is happening to the restaurant world why aren't servers noticing when a client finishes an appetizer or a salad! It only takes a few minutes to remove the salad plate or the appetizer plate before the entrée is ready. But no, this restaurant the server arrived while the appetizers and salads were still on the table and place the main meals on the empty spot of the table did not ask if we were done just dropped the meals. I had to call the server back and ask them to take the plates. This is lazy. This is bad management. This is horrible service. The server was very young, very unexperienced on the verge of immature. This restaurant has the prices of a Michelin five star restaurant, the quality of an outback and the service of Waffle House
We celebrated our 19th anniversary! The food was amazing. Steak so tender! Our waiter was amazing as well.
This was the worst dining experience ever. The food was subpar and I encourage anyone to stay away from the grilled steak and cheese sandwich and mahi mahi fish sandwich. They brought out a sandwich with 6 pieces of white bread, non melted cheese, and tough steak. We spoke with the manager about the dissatisfaction with that meal and to change it out for a burger instead since it was the least bit appealing visually and taste wise and he said that was not possible, we had to keep that sandwich. He said they can take it back and fix it up and bring it back out. We said that option is not satisfactory, and then asked if he could just take it off the bill, and his reply was no “we don't do that.” Also, they brought out the mahi mahi fish sandwich with brown old lettuce and thick cut old tomato. I told the manager I wasn't gonna complain about the old lettuce and tomato on that sandwich initially, but since he wasn't concerned about customer satisfaction, I'd mention that too. Also, they tacked on an automatic tip for my party of 3, when the sign on the front desk stated the automatic tip is only charged on Friday and Saturdays. I told him I planned to leave a tip anyway since my waitress wasn't responsible for the food dissatisfaction, but I wasn't going to allow them to automatically charge me a tip because there is no sign that says automatic tips are charged for parties less than 8, on Sunday's, or any other day. He said, ok, I can take it off. He took it off and gave me back my receipt. I asked if he could take my card for the bill to keep us from waiting longer, he said no and said the waitress will do that. I told the manager, we would never visit the restaurant again nor recommend it due to the poor experience and sub par food. The manager did not seem to care. This was the worst management experience ever too. I'll send his name in a message directly to the restaurant.
