On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina - Southaven

Never made it to the table. The restaurant was not full but this location is always short staffed. Tonight was no different. The Front manager was standing and talking when the kitchen was obviously short staffed. After 12 minutes of standing at the front he finally came up to greet us and said it would be another 10 minute wait to allow the kitchen to "catch up". Maybe he should have helped the kitchen instead of standing and talking to other employees.
We always have the thought that OnTheBorder will be the way it used to be but the owner needs to change the way this restaurant is run.

I almost didn’t go because of reviews but we decided to go anyway.Our server robin was an sweetheart very nice answered all our questions.we will most definitely be returning.plus the food was delicious hot and good

We visited on a Wednesday afternoon around 1. The place was empty, and we wondered if the place was open. We walked in and we were promptly seated. Our hostess, Sharese, was very prompt and friendly. We didn't have to wait long for our food. It was hot and tasted good. The restaurant as a whole was clean and kept up for the most part.

Didn't get a chance to try the food. I left after discovering a bug in my drink. The waiter was nice, though.

I won’t be coming back to this restaurant. I went yesterday and the server’s costumer service was lacking. I am not one of those type of customers who make it difficult for servers either. Even if my food is wrong, I am polite about it. The servers attitude really didn’t bother me that much. What really pissed me off and what drove me to write this review was that the server assumed I didn’t pay for my food and that I just skipped out on my bill. She followed me outside and I saw her through my rear view mirror as I was about to leave, standing at the door looking puzzled. I opened the door to see what she wanted because I wasn’t guilty of anything. She said I didn’t pay my bill. I paid in cash and even left a tip and left it on the table. I typically hide the money in the receipt when I pay in cash to be discreet. If she would have cleaned the table off she would have seen it. She just assumed and followed me out and embarrassed me. I won’t be coming back!

I put an order for food and when I went to go pick it the server who gave me my food was bitching about me not leaving a tip for her. She didn't make the food all she did was hand it to me. Some people have a lot of nerve. This happened about two weeks ago.

Use to be an amazing restaurant, and their salsa is still spot on, but this location has become very run down. The food looks like it's been under the warmers for days, and everything is sticky. And I'm pretty sure the staff feels the same way as they didn't seem to want to be there either.....

Went there Friday 8/16/2024 about 8pm the food was horrible taste like it came out the microwave we didn't even eat it I won't be back talk to kitchen manager whom looked & talked very unprofessional this place has really gone down
