I’ve had issues on 2 occasions with this location. The manager failed to resolve them in a satisfactory manner. On one I ordered a veggie omelette but I was given an omelette with shrimp. Her suggestion was 15% off. Keep in mind I waited 10 minutes before a waitress came to take my order. It took another 20 minutes to get the order. She had them remake it which took another 20 minutes. She lacks the ability to resolve issues. I won’t be returning.

Enjoy the food and don’t mind leaving a gratuity BUT when did they start forcing it on you? First time see them do that. It just appears on your bill auto gratuity 18% Will not be coming back again because of that.

The Southaven location has always been been the location my family visited in the past however today was a NO for me and my daughter . We did add ourselves to the waitlist prior to traveling there which was the 1st time using the app . After arrival and going in to Check in, the hostess was unwelcoming and rude out the gate and told “to check the phone to know when to come back when the table has s ready”. Once notified via app we were escort to the back add on when asked if there was any tables inside due to it is 40degrees and felt like we were completely outside the hostess said sometime the heaters work and sometimes they don’t.. we left , UNACCEPTABLE!!!

I had high hopes for Staks, but it fell a bit short of expectations. While the atmosphere felt friendly, the interior of the pancake house appeared disheveled and lacked attention to detail. The food was mediocre at best, which was disappointing considering the high prices. Overall, it seems like Staks has potential but could use some improvements to match its ambition.

My family frequently visits various Staks Restaurants in the greater Memphis Area. Our experience today at the Southaven Location definitely was the worse.
As a party of five, we waited 30 minutes with open tables everywhere. People with 4 or more were not sat. We along with another larger party left the restaurant.
Both hostess’ made it very clear they close at 2. When they finally sat us 15 minutes to 2, we were provided plastic utensils. Of the five, three of us typically get steak and eggs so I knew then the experience could only get worse from there. We left and the lady rolled her eyes. We won’t be back anytime soon.

Waited an hour and a half to get seated. Host had no idea how to run the floor, open tables everywhere but wouldn’t accommodate a 6 top. As a former server and eventual manager of a restaurant I can honestly say the way this place is ran is a disappointment. Only excuse we would receive is “the kitchen got backed up”…really? At a breakfast spot??

Very disappointed on the wait time at this location. The host did not know how to seat people and run the floor. Very disappointed. My first and last time coming here .

I feel badly, posting this review, because it seems really unfair to judge the entire experience negatively, and the place was only partly to blame… but here goes: our server was awesome! The menu looked to have a lot of options, most not at all diabetic friendly— entirely too much sugar and carbs for every single item on offer… lots of drinks, lots of sugar. The atmosphere was lovely, lots of places to sit, but we went on a cooler day, and the majority of the seating options were outside… but they didn’t have the outside heaters all turned on, so a big party of people stared daggers at us while we sat and ate because they clearly thought it was OUR fault that their heater wasn’t working. The Philly egg rolls were dripping with grease, and my avocado toast was bathed in entirely too much balsamic vinegar. The very worst part tho, was the bathroom experience… first, the bathroom was filthy. And no toilet paper in the handicapped stall… and then, the cherry on the cake: another patron came in and proceeded to projectile vomit with technicolor sound and splashes… I can’t ever go back. It was the WORST. If it were any ONE of those things, I might entertain that it was a one time bad experience. But so many strikes later, every time I drive past this restaurant, I ask myself: how long can a person sit listening to a stranger vomit in a public restroom? With no toilet paper? My answer: zero seconds. I won’t be going back. And I won’t be entertaining any possibility of going back. Sorry. My server was excellent, but I just can’t.

Stacs is the best place to go, and you get so much food for your dollar. The atmosphere is awesome. The staff are awesome, and the food is awesome. I highly recommend this place if you get the chance to go.

Food was delicious overall. My mom ordered gluten free pancakes that were quite bland and dense. Waitstaff friendly. Our server in general was slow and only came back to our table when we flagged other staff down for refills, check, etc.
