My service and server were terrible, I understand that Mrs. Susan loves Austin because he made it very clear that he “told his manager to take some money off of our check just because he can” and the sad thing is the money the credit we received didn’t effect our bill much because he charged us for things we never even received and I’m allergic to mushrooms which I STATED to Austin, and boom i received exactly that MISHROOMS! So to be honest the money he told the manager to take off didn’t do much but even out bill to be accurate not to be discounted! If you all don’t train Austin properly he is going to be the downfall of your business! I have never in my life had such unprofessional service, and the fact that I was there with my grandmother and girlfriend makes it 100xs worse, I hyped up this restaurant to be let down for sure! I work at a student living property that houses over 1100 residents here in Starkville and I for one WILL NOT promote or advertise any of our visiting parents or prospects to eat at this establishment! In layman terms, my service and food sucked on 9/21/2025 at 2:04pm and my waiters name was Austin, I highly do not recommend eating at Georgia Blue until changes are made! I hope Mrs Susan and Austin can work together and rectify this situation since she is his favorite and obviously can do no wrong! Feel free to reach out to me

Honestly was disappointed with my experience here after being recommended. We were under the impression they closed at 9pm but they really close at 8:30pm. so we arrived at just after 8pm. First we were greeted by a disrespectful host, that seemed hesitant to seat us and made a snarky comment about ‘We close in 20 minutes’ (at 8:30pm?) Ok no problem, there was only two of us. she then proceeds to seat us at a dirty table that had not been cleaned nor been wiped when we sat down. Food on the table and tablecloth underneath. We order an appetizer and as soon as the food comes out I notice a long black hair sticking out of the food so they take it back and off the bill. I had an entree with the chicken and gnocchi, I only ate one piece of chicken due to it being dry and chewy. There was one giant piece of chicken that appeared cut but wasn’t fully cut all the way. The only good thing about this restaurant was the actual waitress who was serving us, she was pleasant and polite and the Mahi tacos were good. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

This shrimp po'boy was FANTASTIC! And the fries were crispy and potatoes, so scrumptious!

Service was non-existent, the hostess had to get me water and put in my order. Then my meal was severely messed up not once but TWICE and the second time seemed very deliberate. Dirty plate, greasy, soggy fries. I ended up having to walk out having eaten nothing for an hour in there. Will never be back.

The food was pretty good. The service is the reason for the poor review. Typically I don't mind slow service if the food is good, but this was an exception. After waiting 15 minutes for our table (no problem), we waited another 10 minutes for someone to come by for a drink order. We put in our drink and food order when they did. We only ordered 4 waters and it took them another 10 minutes to bring those out. After that, it was another 10 for food. When the food came out, there was no silverware so we asked for that (what we ordered couldn't be eaten without silverware). They said they'd be back. They came back and said they were rolling some in the back and would bring it out shortly. Shortly turned into 5 minutes. I went to ask someone and he came back and said they'd be right out with it. That was another 5 minutes. My partner also asked for ranch and ketchup which never came. I pulled a ketchup bottle from the side station. I'm not sure what the deal was, they weren't that busy and our table was in a very visible area. It seems this isn't uncommon though based on the other reviews. It's unfortunate that a place with good food should suffer poor reviews for bad service.
Today was my first time going to the restaurant and the food was amazing!! I was able to try thw turnip bites and they're were soo good!! The waiter was cool and the bartender definitely knows how to make a fire drink!!! I definitely can't wait to go back!!!
