We are a family of three. We came from Philadelphia to take our son to dinner. He picked your restaurant. He ordered red beans and rice and it was a watery mess. I ordered a chef salad and it was huge but not good. Our toast tasted like it was dipped in margarine. It was gross. My husband got jambalaya. It was not good. It sure didn’t look appetizing. I noticed the previous time I ordered to go, the minute I came in, it smelled like grease, like the exhaust didn’t work. It almost made me sick. The floor looks nasty. It didn’t use to be like this when I was in college. It’s sad and I’m sorry to say that we won’t be back.
I was looking for somewhere to get some takeout after 8pm and found this place during a quick Google search of what was still open nearby. It was getting close to close, but it was no problem. They were happy to serve me. It was like a Cracker Barrel restaurant, albeit real thing. Small town country restaurant in the Cracker Barrel decor, but the real deal. it’s been over month since I went here m, and I don’t even remember what I got that night, but something southern oriented with the fixin’s. And a dessert. Food was great even though I don’t remember what I got! I come down south once a year and all I eat is southern comfort and soul food, barbecue, and Cajun for three weeks straight . I just remember I was satisfied.
Great food in a relaxed environment.

Based on the speed and quality of the food, I would say they keep chef Mike busy. Nothing special there. Nice atmosphere, good people, fun decor. Stays pretty packed. An affordable family friendly place to eat near campus.

Our favorite restaurant in Starkville. Some legit Cajun fare, good gumbo and muffulettas but my go to is the Cajun Roast Beef with a side of waffle fries. Our pantry is stocked with to go cups from their just right sweet tea and the chicken club wrap is delicious if you need something a little lighter

My first visit was delightful! I enjoyed my shrimp Po-boy. However, it should have been served in a basket or larger plate. The facility was clean and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Delicious!!! My husband and I got the BLT po boy and it was delicious! Loved that the drinks were in big reusable plastic cups that we could bring home with us. Everyone who worked there was very helpful and very friendly. If we lived in the area this would be a regular spot for us to go!
