The conduct of employees and the rigid blends of the food are beneath professional standard. The atmosphere, is above average for Starkville Standards. I am an optimist, that the flaws of the establishment can be corrected. What is flawed is not beyond repair.

Greetings,
What an absolute disgrace of a staff. A paying patron was mocked and intentionally misnamed on multiple occasions, this kind of childish, unprofessional behavior you’d expect from a high school cafeteria, not an establishment trying to present itself as upscale.
Instead of correcting their behavior, the staff doubled down, targeting the patron who paid to consume beverages allowing other underage university students without hesitation to consume on the premise without question. The hypocrisy towards this individual was unreal.
UNO MAS should be embarrassed. If you want to be treated like a joke by employees who think harassment and unprofessionalism is customer service, this is the place. Otherwise, avoid it.

Not sure I cared for the rock music, but the food was very good. Quite inexpensive.

Stopped by after picking up the kiddo from msu, it’s a must stop every time I’m in town (I literally dream about the black bean soup). And the cactus tacos were a delight! The new lunch menu is a deal too! Always great and will be back!
Addendum: Uno Mas contacted me via email and was able to fix this situation. Part of the mix-up had to do with the order going through in a location other than the one which was intended. I appreciate Uno Mas's management working to resolve the situation without accusing or blaming, but just fixing an issue. It's always a good thing when an establishment can take a problem and move towards a solution. We'll plan on visiting the establishment to eat next time we're in town!
I had high hopes to enjoy this place and put in an order on Uno Mas's website about 40 minutes before they closed. I then called 10 minutes later to be sure the food would be ready on time, at which time I was told the kitchen was closed early due to low orders. I was frustrated but told the manager I understood. She said I'd be refunded, but this was not immediately done. See addendum above.

I ordered some steak fajitas today. When I received them they looked very good, but whenever I tried them they didn't have any seasoning on them. The steak was very tuff and it seemed to be over cooked.

ROACHES. Two COCKROACHES at the bar ran under CC machine and the other COCKROACH was under my food. Told woman working there about the COCKROACHES. She said nothing and took my payment even though i just started. Left note for manager about the COCKROACHES. Multiple code violations noted. I would never eat here if you have options. COCKROACHES, and they did not care. Posting other places as well to warn others that don’t like COCKROACHES in their food. I paid full bill and tipped. Get it together owner/manager. I wonder if the owner/manager reads these. I left this place and went to Commodore Bob's for dinner. Great Service, clean, open kitchen floor plan and best of all, no COCKROACHES.

Tamales were fair. Hard shell taco shell tasted like cardboard. Took a minute to get my pickup order, but sure if the host was sober or I just goulash understand him.

Called me by my wrong pronoun. Would never expect less from them…not to mention they never answered my phone call after they hung up.
Place closes at 10:00 pm, but they are closing right now at 9:30 pm. If this was just a bar and it's a slow night, then fine, but it's a restaurant. You don't close your restaurant 30 minutes before the posted time because it's a slow night.
I've been to about 10 south American-based restaurants in Starkville, and this is the best one I've been to. I've been there 4 times and ordered something different each time, and every time I've ordered, the food has been so good. I've gotten the shrimp quesadilla, several of the tacos, a lengua burrito, a chorizo breakfast burrito, horchatta, tres leches. Everything has been either delicious or just good, except I didn't really like their ground beef, but there's another Mexican restaurant nearby with beef that tastes the same way, so maybe there is a certain way some people make their beef that I just don't like...tastes like water to me. But I really recommend this place if you just want some good Mexican/south American food.

Great food and great atmosphere. If you like shrimp, then I would definitely recommend the D'Iberville street tacos.
