Must try place in Starkville! The food is delicious and the service is always great. Breakfast is my favorite meal here. Try the platters to get a little taste of everything.

Very uncomfortable. As soon as we walked in there were dirty looks across the room because we weren’t dressed like everyone else. Then we get seated and the server wouldn’t even look at us. Proceeded to tell her it was our first time eating there. We felt very unwelcome by her. Now for the food. My fiancé got the waffle platter which is $15. We expected a decent portion but the plate gets to the table and it’s a very sad plate. Very small portions and cold. I ordered the short stack and 2 eggs. My pancakes were over cooked and flavorless and my eggs were cold. Salt and pepper couldn’t even help the taste. I couldn’t even bare to eat the pancakes with all the syrup I tried dumping on there to add flavor. This is the worst experience I’ve had eating in Starkville and maybe even the state of Mississippi itself. We got to the register with $34 written on the ticket which is ridiculous itself and ended up being charge $40.21 for food we didn’t even eat. I will never come back and never recommend anyone eat there

This is probably some of the poorest, lowest quality breakfast I’ve ever eaten. Eggs were cold, service was terrible, a very small portions for the 40$ I paid for. Would not recommend to anyone.

Great small town diner. Good food, good service. Had a nice breakfast - eggs, hash browns, toast - and good coffee. Will go back.

Classic diner, overflowing with nostalgia, local pride, and people waiting (I did visit on a football gameday morning). Nice experience. I would bet the people at the tables next to me had been coming there for many decades. The "duck butter" syrup was a fun quirk.

This classic diner is a diamond in the rough! The food is downright delicious and nostalgic. The service is fast and attentive. The duck butter sauce is easy to recommend and worth taking home a bottle too!

This place is pretty awesome! Waffles are a must try with their signature duck butter syrup! This place has a very small town feel but big on the southern hospitality!

There is a morning wait, due to the popularity. They also serve lunch and maybe dinner, but I've never been there for any other meal. For some people it's their ritual fishing hole in the morning. The normal food items are there, nothing special, but tastes good. Don't come looking for a deal, though; their breakfast menu is PRICEY!!Dietary restrictions: Not much consideration for alternative diets.Kid-friendliness: Sure.Wheelchair accessibility: Sure.

Been wanting to try this for a couple of years. With it always being crowded and my vegetarian daughter having limited options, I finally was able to convince my son to go on Friday after the egg bowl. After a longer than expected wait, we ordered almost as soon as we sat down and the food arrived timely. I chose the Waffle Platter with Scrambled Eggs, Grits & Sausage. The waffle and sausage would have been plenty. I can see why they are known for their Duck Butter Syrup. It is definitely better than your typical maple syrup. The sausage was really good too! Eggs & grits were ok but I couldn't finish them. Service was typical of any local cafe, no frills but fast. I can see why there seems to always be a line out the door!

Had eggs, sausage, hash browns, and toast. Sausage was GREAT. Asked for hash browns well done crispy. Server put it on the ticket. Completely ignored by the kitchen. Wife's french toast was quite plain - just bread thrown on scrambled egg. No powdered sugar. Minimal effort. Bland. Waited a LONNNGGG time for our food.
