The sushi was excellent. Definitely try the msu roll. Our cook at the hibachi did not season the food very much and our server was just average.

I had a very disappointing experience during my recent visit to Uni Japanese Restaurant. We came in hoping to enjoy a nice meal, but were completely ignored by our server for nearly 30 minutes. The manager took our drink order when she first sat us, but after that, no one came by to greet us or even acknowledge our presence.

Despite making eye contact with our server multiple times, and being seated near the kitchen where several staff members passed by and clearly saw us, no one checked in. It felt like we were invisible.

When we finally got up to pay for our drinks and leave, the manager did apologize—but by then, the damage was done. Thankfully, we drove down the road to another establishment and had a great experience. Our server there was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made our day.

Umi Japanese Restaurant might want to take a closer look at their competition, because I will gladly be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

They need to have sumari train all of the chefs so that food quality is consistent. Hibachi is too high to be gambling with sub-par chefs.

Ate here for a quick lunch. We ordered off the lunch menu. We got the steak hibachi and the two sushi roll special. For a lunch menu item, the steak hibachi was a lot of food. Two people could probably eat it. The sushi rolls were tasty (spicy tuna and salmon skin) but not anything Earth shattering. The waitress was nice and attentive. The restaurant was clean. It is deceptively larger than it appears from the outside. If you are hungry for hibachi or sushi, it's worth a shot.

I called to place a to go order and they asked if I could hold to which I said I did not mind. 10 minutes later I hear the person pick up the phone and hang up on me.
