We were here in off season; it wasn’t busy. The shrimp, baked potato and salad were ok. We were hungry after a day of travel. The service was friendly and efficient.

Refused to except my gift cards. Was trying to get takeout due to poor restaurant service earlier this year. After 30+ years, I do not recommend anymore…
Some of the best catfish I have ever had, and I consider myself somewhat of an expert in the field of fried catfish. I have to dine here every time I come to or through McComb. All the other dishes are delicious as well. The buffet on Sunday afternoon is fabulous, even if you have to wait in line a few minutes. Also a great deal, right at $20, with tea and tax. Veggies, mac-and-cheese, desserts, all on point, just like sitting around a country dinner table.

It was a great place to find as a tourist. The food was delicious southern soul food. Reminds me of meals I had a child with my family. Everything was homemade from scratch.

Terrible waitress, Jenna or Janna not sure of her name brings your drink at the beginning and then never comes back. Walks into the room never looks your way and then leaves. Very poor service. This seems to be the way with all of the waitresses except maybe two . The younger ones spend most of their time propped up against the wall talking. Didn’t even bring our ticket the cashier had to run her down to come make on so we could pay. It wasn’t because we ate so fast she didn’t get a chance because I ate really slow hoping she would come back and I didn’t have to eat without anything to drink.
While round-tripping with the family, we stopped at Mr. Whiskers for a hearty dinner—and we’re so glad we did! It’s a good thing we arrived early because the restaurant filled up quickly. The place is clean, cozy, and has a charming rustic vibe.
We started with the onion blossom appetizer, which was a hit with everyone (especially the kids). For the main course, we ordered the seafood platter and shrimp po’boy—both were generous portions and absolutely delicious. The kids devoured the fries, shrimp, and onion blossom, and my oldest even discovered that she likes frog legs!
Our waitress was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and quick with refills. She made it easy to ask questions and accommodate substitutions. Service was fast, and everything came out hot and fresh.
Overall, it was a great meal and a great experience. We’ll definitely be stopping back the next time we’re in the area!

Mr Whiskers used to be my favorite place primarily because of the coleslaw. I don't know what the junk is they are serving now but it is nasty. Bring the old recipe back. By the way, you have lost several customers because of that!
