This place might not look like much if your a tourist. It's small and old-fashioned. If you're a local, you know you never go by appearance. Ya just gotta try it. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and love to chat with you. Even when they are busy, they do an incredible job of keeping the wait time short. And then there's the food! I ordered the pulled pork plate with coleslaw and bake beans. It's so yummy-liscious that you'll be wanting to come back many more times! It's a must for some southern experience!

We are frequent road trippers from stlouis and love bbq food. We have eaten bbq across the country and I can honestly say this was the best bbq we have EVER had. The brisket is so tender you almost need a spoon the eat it, the chicken is smoked to perfection, and the ribs don't need a drop of bbq sauce. I could go on and on about how good the food was but you should just hop in your car and go find out yourself!

My family can’t thank Sunnyhill BBQ enough for feeding our family during the most devastating/emotional times of our lives. We lost our home to a fire and they were so eager to feed our family and want to help us in anyway they could. The food was AMAZING and their employees were SO KIND. 10 out of 10 recommend.
OMG this place is a diamond on Hwy 24! We order 2 plates so we could sample a little of everything, the Dirty Dog is a great variation that includes pulled pork and sausage, the brisket melted in my mouth, the ribs were hands down the best in any 100 mile radius. The people were people people, they smiled and talked with us, the pit master himself greeted us and told us all about the menu. If you haven’t eaten here I more than HIGHLY RECOMMEND it, you are missing out of you don’t.

The absolute best BBQ you will find in the area and beyond!Everything they offer is delicious. The ribs are so tender and perfectly smoked they fall off the bone. Same for the chicken, sausage and brisket.It is owned and operated by good local folks who really take pride in their food because they care about their customers.!!!
