Enjoyed lunch with my brother. His first trip. It was a success indeed. The service was not the best. I had to beg for our check.
I found a hidden GEM!
I was headed home from Clarksdale, MS and had seen a sign on side of highway 49 stating there was an Emmitt Till Museum. I decided to google and it was in Sumner, MS so decided to stop. The museum was closed but I had the opportunity to walk around the square (also court house where trial was held for men who murdered Emmitt Till) and walked past this restaurant not knowing that it was still open for business.

Sumner Grille is a small town restaurant with great service and atmosphere. They offer a delicious cheeseburger that's a must-try. Note that they allow BYO wine and liquor, but may have limited menu items and payment options, including cash or Venmo, so it's best to ask in advance. Despite some limitations, the restaurant is a gem worth visiting, especially for its platelunches and mouthwatering cheeseburger made with love.
